THANK YOU for sharing your living/creating space! My space is mostly in the basement without windows or natural light. I also work at a folding table in our office room next to the computer so I can learn from video instruction. I helped care for 3 family members and there was no time for my art until 2 years ago. At age 64 I am finally pursuing art practices. It's so encouraging to see you making art in a casual familiar space. Can't wait to see what you do with the journal Denise sent. THANK YOU very much for sharing your creativity!
I love seeing how others organize and work in their space! Thanks for sharing. I turned a bedroom into my in home studio and work space. Traffic where I live is terrible, so I like not having to drive to a studio space. ☺️
Yes, I saw your little tour in one of your videos; it looks nice and cosy and you have lots of nice books. I also prefer not being in traffic (it's terrific here, too and I have no driving license). Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I like your home studio combinded with your living room. So cozy. You are quite organized, I am impressed! Personally I have a studio at home, quite large, it is a kind of attic, but white and modern an full of light. I make art only for myself without students or any shop. I am very glad I don't have to clean up every day 😁 Like you we travel a few months per year with our mobile home. Greetings from Germany from Silly 🦋
Hi Silly thanks for watching! Nice you have much space and much light in your art studio, those are the best ingredients to get started. Cleaning up is also good for me, to end projects and start new ones from fresh, in a clean house! Maybe we’ll meet you on the road! Much love from the Netherlands
I like your home studio very much. Having your students come to your home gives you the incentive to keep things nice and clean. My place is definitely messier. I am organized though. I have a studio in the attic, which is nice and big, but gets to hot in the summer. Mostly I work in the kitchen. I keep a under the bed box on it turned upside down, so works in progress can be covered and moved easily. This keeps the cats from playing with these supplies. There is a large nice cabinet for supplies in the kitchen. The laundry room is right next to the kitchen and has many plastic drawer cabinets stacked up and covered boxes, all labeled. Also filing cabinets for files of papers and future planned projects. Most of the attic is for art quilt and sewing supplies. Oh, I have two of those sliding wooden boxes that where my grandma's. They have paint brushes all sizes in them. She worked with clay and had a kiln. Sorry so long. Haha, wrote you a book. God bless
No problem, it's nice to have an impression of what your studio is looking like. The attic sounds great! In Summer, I work often in the garden, it's too hot here too. Such a good idea to put things underneath the bed, Pearl wants to play with everything too! She also loves a paint brush massage. Sounds like you have lots of materials. It's everywhere in the house... And those wooden boxes from your grandma, that's just wonderful you still use them. Much love from The Netherlands.
@@luzartworks Oh, not under the bed. I use a plastic box that would go under the bed, I place it on the table I work on, I turn it upside down. This way my supplies are on the lid and the clear bottom part can cover them easily. It's about 40"x18" like you would store a blanket in, under the bed. I hope you understand. Anyway, have a beautiful day. God bless
Always inspiring to see how other people organize their artspace and supplies, thank you! In winter my studio is also in my livingroom. I love Ikea as well so yes to all their wonderful trolleys, boxes and Kallax cupboards! In summer I move all my supplies to the ‘greenhouse’ (serre) attached to the back of my house. It is not winterproof but in summer it is a great space to work in, looking into my garden and covered in natural light. Love your videos Luz, groetjes, Machteld💖🍀
Hoi Machteld, so nice to hear from you again and to give me a little look into your art studio. I still imagine you live in an old Haarlem house with a round window and a serre! ;) Yes, Ikea and their organizing stuff is one of my addictions. Do you sometimes paint in the garden too?
@@luzartworks haaa Luz! My house was build in 1950. It is very cozy and has a pretty big garden! I had the serre build myself and it is rectangular😃when I sit in there it is as if I am painting in my garden because the doors completely slide open, it is my favorite spot!💖🍀💝
Hi! Love your studio. One's home is the best and cozy space to create as it is certainly part of us 😊 Pearl seems to be happy there too 🥰 My studio is a little corner in the top floor of my house, but it's ok and enough for me. And... an extra point for your Spanish guitar!!! 👌🏽 Reminds me of my dear father, my childhood and our family meetings at home ❤
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, it feels comfortable to work from home. Pearl is very happy, she's almost 15 years old and mostly sleeps on our bed or on the couch and she still loves traveling too. I love to have an impression of your work space. And thanks for the extra point, I play some guitar every now and then and I sing. What kind of songs did you sing? Great to hear from you and much love from the Netherlands!
@@luzartworksOh 😊 My father used to play and sing classical Spanish songs, and he was a very lovely person. He passed away almost three years ago. I miss those moments.
I love your art work and have taken several of your classes a few years ago online. I am so glad to see you regularly on UA-cam now, you are so talented! Thank you❤
Yes I still remember you, Denise! You can still follow your classes at braveart.academy if you'd like to. Thanks for watching my videos and much love from The Netherlands.
It’s so great to read about everyone’s art supplies…. There must be a lot of art rooms (and other rooms) where supplies are stocked and people working on their art, all over the world. That’s just incredible when I think about that. Thank you for your comment! Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for sharing your art spaces! I have a small room that is terribly unorganized but I am actively working on it. I enjoy seeing how other people organize their supplies. P.S. I found your channel through Denise Love and will be watching some of your older videos.
Thanks for watching, great you found me via Denise Love! I love to read how other people organize their art studio too. I need to tidy up because there’s no extra room in our house.
Thank you for sharing your spaces and supplies with us. I have a multi functional, too messy studio for making junk journals and slow stitching. I’m just getting into art journaling. It would be so fun to be part of your art journaling group…..little too far away from Indiana, USA💖💖💖. If you could sometime do a video about art with young children I’d really appreciate it. Would love ideas for creating with my grandchildren.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with your studio! Messy is no problem as long as you work there alone. So nice you started with art journaling recently. You could look at one of my online classes. I have a video here about creating a mixed media angel, inspired by Gustav Klimt, here on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/5gx6eKSNQWk/v-deo.html and on my Dutch UA-cam channel there are some more videos on what I do with children: ua-cam.com/video/0jeGxfOrd4A/v-deo.html
My living room is now my studio and the spare bedroom is my TV room. I live alone so it works for me but, unless the weather is nice enough to be outside, I don't really have entertaining space 😮😢😂❤❤❤
I have a 2 bedroom apartment and use the larger bedroom as my art room. I just create for myself and am increasing my skills and more learning watetcolor so i don't create art to sell so no need for a larger space. Thanks for the tour of your space and supplies!
You can create art to sell from a box of supplies you keep under your bed and carry to your kitchen table when you want to paint or with an art supply cart and easel you keep in your living room. People who have bigger spaces are more likely to show them off - not that much to show when you have a tiny space - but a big space isn’t necessary to be a professional artist.

Thanks I’ve passed it on to her and she said ‘Meow’.
