The Northman is unique for being unapologetic in its foreignness. Its values aren't modern or purely noble- we can relate to them only on the most primal levels. Its hero isn't good- he's drenched in innocent blood the moment we meet him as an adult. Its villain, likewise, isn't purely black, and shows moments we can empathize with. Its cosmology is bleak, its narrative is bleak, its ending is bleak- and it never tries to sugar-coat anything. It is truly a Norse epic, and it's a classic for that.
Such a visually stunning edit. It feels like I've accomplished everything this Viking did, and somehow I am now fulfilled. Thanks Zurik for such quality.
Zurik, you're always my go to when I need to be reminded of the epic beauty I have witnessed. Your edits are top notch, emotionally provoking as always.
I've watched this movie 3 times already... and as always Zurik make an incredible edit about one of my favourite movies, last time it was King Arthur and now this.
Probably one of the best edits for a magnificient film which finally lights up an age through a deep research on the subject, attention to details and mythology. Cheers from Sardinia!
They actually filmed this movie in my country in Ireland. I absolutely loved this movie and the performances by both Alexander Skarsgaard and Anya Taylor-Joy were exceptional. I loved how it was historically authentic yet also at the same time steeped itself unapologetically in the mystical world of Norse Mythology. I loved the surrealism- Sensational movie.
Masterfully done edit. Thank you. The quality of your tributes, Zurik, is amazing. I think it's time to make an edit for anime (Monster, AOT, Violet Evergarden). I'm looking forward to see it. Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my poor grammar, English isn't my first language).
Stunning edit. (spoilers?) Loved this adaptation of Hamlet, especially because it wasn't set in some castle. The landscapes and the atmosphere were the perfect visualization of the fierceness and emotional "brutality" of the characters. Plus, Ophelia's counterpart had more agency, and a better storyline. ✌️😋
This is a really under-rated movie in my opinion, initially I thought it was really weird but by the end I realised it was just meant to be a folk tale, not a movie and ended up finding its subversion of modern story-telling to be really cool.
North Man - North Pole - Sons of Rebellion. The inverted man - the beast - the wolf - canine - dog. When we lose our minds, we forget what we're even fighting for, and once we get it, it no longer wets our appetite, for we develop a taste for wicked delights - Sons of Anarchy.
i watched the film year ago, liked it but was not a big fan, another one with same vibes "the green knight" was much more satisfying for me, then i saw thumbnail, cliked on it just to check a few scenes, i checked video length, saw 05:00, thought it will be around 30 secs, than i finished it, read this first poetic, open-hearted, well articled ("bleak" ha, what a word, just learnt now after translating and cant wait to use it to someone who will get what i mean without any explanation) comment and now can't wait to see it a second time. this is some art zurik, brava. movie looks damn solid.
Sorry for those watching your cuts who haven't watched the movie itself 😅 such a plot spoil directory beginning to end ❤️ a summary but cut fresh and delicate.
Kindness for your kin or hatred for your enemies. You can never have both, neither will bring you peace. One will leave you alone, forever angry and the other will leave you restless seeking
Why does the ancient, mythical Valkyrie wear braces on her teeth? It's definitely not because they couldn't find a prettier actress, who didn't have braces, for the role.
They're not braces. Around Gotland, parts of southern Sweden and Denmark it was a practice among some Vikings to file patterns in their teeth and fill it will metal. There's no evidence of women doing it but Eggers thought it would look fitting on a Valkyrie.

this movie was truly amazing and sadly it didn't get the recognition it deserved
So true...
I love how Amleth went from going to avenge his father to protecting his family
Northman was a masterpiece and as always you done a great tribute Zurik
Thank you so much!
The fact that this movie didnt win a single Oscar is amazing. Sad it didnt get the recognition it deserved.
Such a visually stunning edit. It feels like I've accomplished everything this Viking did, and somehow I am now fulfilled. Thanks Zurik for such quality.
Thank you so much! :)
I recently watched this lover and it was amazing. It’s sad that movies like this don’t get the same limelight as others.
Agree with you.
I like what it was trying to do, but I can see why why it missed out on the limelight
Hell yes I've been waiting for this, honestly one of my favourite movies of all time, Eggers is a visionary
another ball out of the park. This movie just had the perfect shots for something like this. and the tear connection!

Imagine how good a reboot of CONAN would have been if directed by Eggers?
Great job, movie deserved this as much as you deserve my praise.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful brother
Thank you, bro!
Skūl Vikings 🍺🍺🤜
What a coincidence, one of the best video editers just uploaded a video when i looked for a vengeance edit
Thank you so much!
If this film came out a month ago, it would have gotten more recognition. It's a shame.
I was waiting for this one. Another masterpiece!!!
Thank you so much!
A perfect video for a perfect movie
Thank you so much! :)
The backstory of Eric Northman.
Epically done my friend, keep these masterpieces coming.👍
Thank you so much!
Отличная работа, дружище! Не смотрел фильм, но теперь захотелось посмотреть🔥
Спасибо большое, брат! :)
So many people shitted on this movie and said it had no plot because they couldn’t follow it.
Such a shame. It was an epic tale
Loved this movie
“I will torment the man that made my life a hell”
absolutely stunning! excellent work Zurik
If the trailer looked like this I would have went to see it in the theater. This actually gave me chills at about 0:30 in.
Thank you so much! :)
Great movie, great tribute !
Thank you so much! :)
Beautiful work as always.
Thank you so much! :)
This ........This, One word "PERFECT"

Valhöll Awaits!
Thank you for using the proper noun and not the Anglo-Saxon more popular one.
@@ultimateshipper8997 yeah but Valhalla is pretty epic as well.
“I am Amleth “The Bear-Wolf”; son of King Aurvan “The War-Raven”
Beautiful edition Zurik the quality of the video is awesome!
Perfect video as always
I would love to see a tribute video about the protagonist of the movie "Pearl" (2022) you are the best video editor I know
Thank you so much! :)
I need to watch this movie and then we'll see. :)
wow almost half a million subs, can't believe that you were at less than 1000 subs when I subbed for those Ashur videos..
Thank you for your support all these years, my friend! :)
Awesome movie, awesome tribute. Question for my viking nerds: seeing how they both died in battle at the end, they both should get in Valhalla, right?
Thank you so much! :)
Of course.

Hamlet is actually inspired by the scandinavian legend portrayed by this film!
This is a really under-rated movie in my opinion, initially I thought it was really weird but by the end I realised it was just meant to be a folk tale, not a movie and ended up finding its subversion of modern story-telling to be really cool.
Excellent edit for excellent movie.

epic video.. that kick me in the game !
Thank you so much!

Damn. Not my kind of movie (a little too violent), but your edit is stunning, as always!
Thank you so much! :)
This wasnt vengeance in my opinion. It was justice
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sorry for those watching your cuts who haven't watched the movie itself 😅 such a plot spoil directory beginning to end ❤️ a summary but cut fresh and delicate.
The real question is does Zurik watch The Last of Us and is he going to make an edit for it once the season ends?
Yes and YES. :)
The Revenant meets Conan The Barbarian.
You told the entire movie here…
I wonder if he could do something for God of War
I hope someday.
Kindness for your kin or hatred for your enemies. You can never have both, neither will bring you peace. One will leave you alone, forever angry and the other will leave you restless seeking
It doesn't matter as long as you make your own path.
reavge will be mine as my foes fall before in unkind death
fall before me in unkind death
can you please do a Tron Legacy video
Maybe in the future, yes.
Name of movie pls
The Northman.
Yo
Do Better Call Saul
Someday, I hope.
Conan the barbarian ? 1982

Animal kingdom série season final new video please
Usually love your work, but the subtitles and that weird HDR filter don't do it for me on this one.
First
i did watch it but is boring maybe i watch again i find good movie
i didn't like it
Брат, пришло время клана Сопрано
It's obviously the Shakespeare Hamlet done on steroids. Amleth as in H at end of name and rest of plot same . But excellent film
