Yes she's 12 years old. Yes it's her body her baby her decision. But she said, she want's to have the baby, because it's a good business. She will sell the baby to her aunt, and then have the money for college. Who gave her that idea. The evile aunt. She should not have the baby
I absolutely agree. However if she cannot be forced to abort ACS can definitely intervene on behalf of said infant and become the baby's' guardian. At that time ACS can put the baby into a foster to adopt program. Our foster care system is in shambles , but there are many families looking to adopt newborns. If this 12 year old has the baby and it goes to the aunt and things do not go well and the then child enters the system at a less adoptable age there is a guarantee of major problems.
an underage child's guardian's job is to make decisions for their child until they turn 18
I feel she should be able to give birth to the baby then put it up for adoption so she could still have a future and nor be held back by a child at such a young age or have her mother have to take care of it and miss out on opurtinities for their family.
But then for putting the baby in the adoption system yes it’s in shambles but even with families continuously looking for children in this system shouldn’t it be far better than it is now if that’s the case. And putting it in adoption could also hurt the child psychologically and emotionally. The child could feel as if its not loved by its mother and feel neglected even with the new family. It could also cause the child to start questioning their place and what to do. Then there is also the bright side that maybe the child will have a good life and grow up to be happy. I’m no expert or smart person in this field but I have some friends who have been adopted and I’ve seen both sides of how kids feel about being adopted. Just how the child may feel
She needs to be aware of the reality of having a child. She got manipulated into saying all that bullshit, who knows if that's actually how she feels or thinks. It doesn't mean the baby needs to suffer cause of it

Yeah people don't always look their age. I'm 25 and literally just yesterday a liquor store attendant said "just so you know you're always going to be carded." I feel iffy about abortion. it has its ups and downs. When it comes to a 12 yo having a baby.... it’s not good. Obviously she was manipulated into having one. I dont think it’s healthy for an average 12 to to go through birth. She’s in what 6th grade? Shes not even close to high school so I don’t think she needs the baby. Then again there are so many kids that are not adopted or even put into horrible homes. I have no clue what I would do in a situation like this

So let me get this straight....This is in Miami? And they are in court about a 12 year old being pregnant?! This has to be a joke or Florida is more f*cked up than we thought. Usually anytime a 12 year old ends up pregnant in ANY kind of household, social services like CSP/ACS is called in immediately to get to the bottom of why and how a minor is pregnant because the age of consent is 16/17 and the legal age for consent with an adult is 18. So there would be some "splainin'" someone had to do. IDG this at all. Just, is this for real and...how is this judge not even calling Law enforcement to question all adults responsibility for the child's wellbeing. This had no business in small claims court.
The individuals on all these shows ARE NOT REAL JUDGES. Most are attorneys at the very most. Even that show with Judge Judy . MS. Judy is a retired attorney. These shows are for drama only, but for whatever reasons are permitted to portray themselves as judges. The truth is they are "arbitrators". A court arbitrator is an attorney who can, with the permission of the plaintiffs hear a case and make a case decision that unlike a ruling made by a real judge and or jury is final and cannot be appealed. Hence the term binding arbitration. These shows make a mockery of our judicial system and prey on various poverty stricken cultures. They are in my opinion creating stereotypes and not helping anyone. The drama is all for ratings and filling the wrong people's pockets. Our judicial system along with our government has failed us in every way imaginable.
@@maryastark8075 Eh, IDK about a lot of the judges on tv now but I can assure you that the only judges that I am sure are real retired judges are Judge Judy, Joe Brown, and Mathis. I have personally met all three of them and interview them. They are retired Judges but still judges none the less. Judge Judy was a family court judge way back. I met Judge Joe Brown when I lived in Memphis, TN. Had the pleasure of meeting Judge Mathis in Detroit. Now, I question the rest of them, especially the younger "judges" like Judge Faith, Alex, and Marilyn, and even Mablean. I'm not sure about their elections and credentials. But either way cases like these shouldn't even be in this time of court. I would have dismissed this without prejudice and had them go with me to my chambers and call the needed authorities. This makes no sense. None whatsoever. I honestly have never seen a case like this before on any of the other judge shows. This is just too bold. and I can't understand why you would show the "12 year olds" face on national tv like that. so much for her future! This is why this has to be fake to me.
@@Dramawitsvu17 Judges are appointed. The "judges" that you named are retired or active attorneys working as arbitrators. None of these cases are filmed in a DOJ Court Room. There is something dreadfully wrong with the entire presentation as you pointed out regarding the taping of the twelve year old. These shows are scripted for entertainment. Possibly they are loosely based on actual events. I respect Lauren Lake's efforts to bring to the public's attention the need for young people to use birth control and the failure of our foster care system. Her hands are tied unless she we're to become a loud speaking activist. Her show does give her a platform. However there is no reason for all of the public drama prior to reading DNA test results. This and all followup should be done privately. In addition these paternity cases reinforce stereotyping. Most cases are young black men and women. Once it is on social media it is there forever.
The judge said herself that some of those people are actors portraying real cases. Also, she doesn’t know which case is real and which one is not so she could act better as a judge.

You can't trust in people. The answer? Get the promise in writing, avoid any deal that involves family and money, and trust only in God.
