It would be amazing if you reacted to tally hall since they probably have the strangest, greatest songs that blend together really, really well. Also miracle musical would be great as it was the product of one of the original members Joe Hawley and has one of the best albums I have ever heard
I'm so glad he picked Satisfied too, it's one of my favorites! Maybe one of the first I saw I think it informed my impression of Angelica's character more than the show did. (I wish he'd done Right Hand Man though instead of Guns and Ships, just for the "I can't draw horses lmao" moment which still sends me).

people tend to forget that when the musical just got released, many people couldn't see it because of how expensive the tickets were. it's why so many people made animatics, it was to visualize the story! every song in hamilton has at least been animated a dozen times and compiled into compilations to showcase the whole thing. if you couldn't pay for it (or find a slime tutorial of it online) just pull up an animatic playlist and your set! at least, that was how my first year of listening to hamilton went 😅

I remember accidentally finding a "Slime Tutorial" of the entire play like someone had snuck a camera into the play and all the comments were like 'This is an amazing Tutorial!' 'Best Slime Tutorial ever!' It was hilarious.
Yeah. I found out about this musical, when just found animatic on youtube. I didn't know English well and I didn't understand where it came from, but I was loving it. And now after many this musical and animatics became like part of me
As with the ancient monks and stained glass windows--most of the common folk couldn't read at the time, so when the church put up colourful windows and statues of religious figures/scenes it made the Bible more accessible.
These animatics are how I first experienced Hamilton, followed by using a playlist of all of the songs on repeat in the background while doing my coursework and finally when I house sat for someone with a Disney+ subscription I got to watch the play

There are sooo many great Animatics to musicals like Six, Dear Evan Hansen and Be More Chill! Hadestown and the Percy Jackson musical have great animatics too! You need to watch Ziksua’s animatic of First Burn and Congratulations. First Burn is kinda a rewrite of Burn made in 2018 and while Burn is on Eliza’s perspective in a sad and grieving way, First Burn is more her being pissed at Hamilton. And Congratulations is a song that got cut but it’s basically Angelica giving Hamilton a piece of her mind after the Reynolds’s pamphlet. Both are really good songs and animatics that you should totally check out!
Szin is the legend that pulled me in with Nonstop, but Ziksua's style is my favorite. Their vid on Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story leaves me in tears every time.
8:48 I love the little detail of Hamilton's shadow shooting to the sky just as he delivers the line "I will not trow away my shot!" it's some wonderful foreshadowing done by the artist.

All of the szin's animatics are amazing, but I highly recommend HuangHYing's animatic of the room where it happens. It's my favourite hamilton animatic, the amount of symbolism in it is insane!
This reaction vid in particular makes me happy bc I feel like Hamilton animatics were the precursor of DSMP animatics and u can see the influence artists like SZin, Scribs, etc. had in the community moving forward Plus extra swag bc people who never got the chance to see these musicals live could watch these animatics and still experience them and artists would give their own interpretations of what was going on Edit: OMG I DIDNT EVEN MENTION THE NOSTALGIA FACTOR LMAO I was obsessed with musical animatics when the community was poppin and tried so hard to emulate the artstyles that were popular at the time and it helped out a lot w my own artistic journey, the community was/is so important to me and the whole reason into musicals at all now I’ll always hold it dear in my heart
Honestly, my first full experience of Hamilton was watching Hamilton through animatics. They can craft such a beautiful and intense feeling through the animatics, it's amazing.
The animation community was my first exposure to Hamilton, back before it was on disney plus and tickets were an impossible dream. I love it. The skill of the animators and the talent of the Hamilton cast pair together so beautifully.
you have GOT to check out more of szin's animatics... especially 7 minute Hamilton, their going away piece, which you've I know you listened to in this video but its BEAUTIFUL. musical animatics are an entire genre and im so glad you're checking them out!!!!!!!!!
Another cool thing about the animatics is that a lot of the artists like szin reference the real history behind the story using little visual details. One example I remember is someone flashing a frame of Theodosia drowning during Dear Theodosia, referencing the way that Burr’s daughter died, which was at a quite young age. Another one was during It’s Quiet Uptown where artists often draw in one of Hamilton’s daughters who really lost her sanity after Phillip’s death and never recovered.
Szin is literally amazing, like in Guns and Ships they snuck in the letter something this 'Dear Alex, come back, Lafayette is scary also G. Wash p.s. bring food, I haven't eaten in days' or something of that type before it's sent off and it's a really small scene but I love it honestly. They put so much extra in there and it's amazing. Personally, fav hamilton animatic by szin is You'll Be Back cause it just, it's hilarious man. Also, I think it would be really fun if you listened to deleted songs from Hamilton, like First Burn just hits Different and so does Congratulations.
I dont think you noticed but in non-stop at the end if you look at alexanders shadow it shows him aiming his gun at the sky meanwhile his actual self has both his arms down!

If you're gonna make a part of two of hamilton animatics you NEED to watch: First burn by Ziksua Helpless by Grizz/ Gomch They have A LOT of care put into them and for me they have somehow made the song like ten times more emotional, awesome transitions and characterization! Loved the video btw!!!
I'm really happy you watched these! The first time I ever listened to any hamilton song is when I watched it for the first time here on UA-cam, in one video compiling animatics made by fellow youtubers all in one place to completely tell the story of hamilton without using a lick of illegal video footage of it! So these animatics really have a special place in my heart, especially Szin's. It's like you say, strangely, watching the animatics actually brings MORE into the story than you might expect - probably because artists can really dive into creative choices that only artists can make (i.e. transitions, style choices, colouring, even expressions to some extent!) When compared to real life actors. (No hate, the IRL actors are of course absolutely phenomenal! But there are just some things 2D animation/art does that literally cannot be replicated irl lol) I think having the artist mix in their interpretation, their creative vision, into an already very beautifully composed soundtrack and story that heavily features motifs and symbolism, can really just give it that extra "oomph"! So I'm really glad thats how I first experienced Hamilton, it really cemented it's special place in my heart, haha.
My fav when it comes to animatics is Morci. Her "wait for it" animatic is breath-taking and her other animatics like candy store are so good too. Not to mention her art style is so original.

The little nudges and eastereggs and creativity behind them are amazing. Szin is like the base of the Hamilton animatics kinda like Sad-ist is for the DreamSMP. Of course there are a bunch of talented artists in both fandoms worth checking. Still if you ever enter either fandom the chance of not at least hearing of those two is very small. I love this, it renewed my passion for animatics. I use to spend HOURS just binge watching fan animations like this. If you haven't already, you should definitely look up the animatics for steven universe, they're superb 👌

I watched Hamilton for the first time about 7 month ago when my nine year old cousin got me to watch it while I was visiting her family. I just couldn't sit through the full musical but when I got home i looked up some of the song I liked and happened to stumble upon the animatics (specificlly the ones by szin and one other main person I don't remember the name of) and in just that next week I'd watched the full animatic at least ten times. I'm so glad my cousin convince me to watch it that first time. Thank you Olivia ❤

I wish I saw this video a year ago because I would have recommended the animated video “who dies, who lives, who tells your story” from Hamilton. The artwork is a little more clean with their art, but the emotion behind it really hits my in my feel.
There was a old series of animatics that was the entirety of the first act and was part of the full anamatic version of Hamilton but for the life of me I can’t remember who it was since all of them were taken down

I just couldn't sit through the full musical but when I got home i looked up some of the song I liked and happened to stumble upon the animatics (specificlly the ones by szin and one other main person I don't remember the name of) and in just that next week I'd watched the full animatic at least ten times.

I wish I saw this video a year ago because I would have recommended the animated video “who dies, who lives, who tells your story” from Hamilton. The artwork is a little more clean with their art, but the emotion behind it really hits my in my feel.
