Unlike many people think EXO is more introvert than anyone else....and they have a less variety show appearances due to their mystery concept but i think, its what they are comfortable with. Almost all of them have their own friendship circles but remain connected with Exo as a family
EXO IS a very introverted group. But that isn't a bad thing. It doesn't mean they are all shy and hate people, and each other. What it means is that they don't like to draw a lot of attention to themselves, they don't like large crowds and they like being at home. It also means they usually have very close, tight bonds with those that they let into their inner circle. 7 out of EXO's 9 members are introverted. That is a lot for a Kpop group. So they are definitely a lot more toned down than groups like Got7, NCT, or Super Junior. They interact with each other a lot though, off camera, and to me, that makes their friendship more genuine.

For some reason this video made me more emotional than any other anniversary video I have ever seen of them. I suddenly realized that I recognized all the clips that were used in this compilation, which means I've been with EXO for quite a long time now. Atleast longer than I thought I would be when I first became one. I'm genuinely convinced that the exo members are good people with kind hearts. And I'm so so glad they were the first K-pop group that I got introduced to. I used to watch TVXQ ship videos two or three years before I became an EXO-L, but I never went through their music and I didn't even realize they were part of what was called K-pop. But when I found EXO something about them just urged me to look further into them. And I never looked back.
It made me emotional too. I get all teary eyed whenever I see their interaction videos. They are so loving and bonded with one another. These boys are too good for us.

Years later I got into EXO and everything has changed for me. I feel like I became a better person after I became an exol, some people might think I'm exaggerating but seriously EXO has that power. Let me add my POV here too. I wasn’t really a fan of Lay initially(I know my bad), but having understood the history of what EXO became over the years, I have grown to respect Lay a lot! Apart from his epic dancing talent, more importantly, he is such a wonderful and loyal friend to the others! I mean it’s one good thing to pay a surprise visit to your friends, IN THE SAME COUNTRY, and it’s a MUCH MUCH BIGGER THING to fly across a sea to another country, just to send off a friend to military! For a few hours maybe? Had I been in Kyungsoo’s place, what Lay did for him, I would’ve burst out crying if someone did THAT for me. Mad respect Lay, and EXO as a whole for their unwavering and real friendship! ❤

Beakhyun and Taeyeon dating , Kai Krystal - I remember members being supportive. SM was there to support them too. Whats the most amusing thing is , They supporte and had faith in each other and stood up for each other when SM didnt. Sehun and Chanyeol openly supporting Chen saying Marriage and having a family is a beautiful thing. Chanyeol 's time Sehun asked everyone to give more love to chanyeol on a variety show. Baekhyun slapping the mosquito and supporting Chanyeol. They always keep mentioning Lay and Lay mentioning them when antis say stupid things about them and things like leaving the group. It the RAW - EST Friendship and brotherhood I've seen , when the world and company were against them and did not help them. They had each other. I like how true to themselves they remain and how they don't show off their friendship too much but are always there to support one another behind the scenes. EXO was together for a looong time now. So, they have family dynamics, more than friends. I always get emotional and teary eyed when I watch their interaction videos. EXO members are all talented and can rock any solo career individually, but together they are perfect and unbeatable. Honestly the people who have this perception of EXO are still stuck in 2015 and have probably never seen an EXO video in their life. Most outsiders get their info about EXO from stan twitter know-it-alls who like to judge other groups relationships without even knowing anything about them. those who were around in 2014-2016 when eri's were the "toxic" fandom everyone hated made these narratives and so all these false perceptions were created about EXO back then and are still being passed around to this day like fact. All anyone has to look at is Lay still being exo even when he has no other reason to at this point, other than he loves them. chanyeol's video vcr to them at the concert and his lyrics in Hand. Kyungsoo assuring that despite his passion for acting, he would still choose EXO. Minseok wanting to be EXO's XIUMIN even when he is old. Jongdae doing what he needed to do for himself and the members basically telling anyone who had a problem with it that he was not going anywhere despite immense backlash. Jongin and Baekhyun saying that they already did the awards thing and now just want to spend time making memories together. Sehun saying he realized how important the members were in his life now that he is older. Junmyeon at radio star saying, whether they stay at SM or they leave, they make that decision together. It's the little things that matter and EXO have shown time and time again that they each can go off and do their own thing because at the end of the day EXO is home. Every one of them could make it on their own. They don't NEED each other, they WANT each other and that is what makes a family.
I think its really that they are no longer just friends or coworkers they see each other as family. they grew up together and lived together and they were lucky that they all have great chemistry together and they went through so much together that bond is just stronger than just friendship and you can see it in the way they look at each other. Let me add my POV here too. I wasn’t really a fan of Lay initially(I know my bad), but having understood the history of what EXO became over the years, I have grown to respect Lay a lot! Apart from his epic dancing talent, more importantly, he is such a wonderful and loyal friend to the others! I mean it’s one good thing to pay a surprise visit to your friends, IN THE SAME COUNTRY, and it’s a MUCH MUCH BIGGER THING to fly across a sea to another country, just to send off a friend to military! For a few hours maybe? Had I been in Kyungsoo’s place, what Lay did for him, I would’ve burst out crying if someone did THAT for me. Mad respect Lay, and EXO as a whole for their unwavering and real friendship! ❤

I like how true to themselves they remain and how they don't show off their friendship too much but are always there to support one another behind the scenes. They're not overly conscious to display their friendship on purpose on camera to "show" they're close so all their interactions and skinship and actions seem natural and real and not forced. They don't always show their affection and they don't need to because you can just feel how truly close they are by just their body language and how naturally they move with each other. EXO was together for a looong time now. So, they have family dynamics, more than friends. They are so close that they can roast each other, they can say raw words to each other without being scared of their relationship breaking. Their bond is very strong. I feel like a lot of non-fans fail to recognize these facts. They think love means always being soft and mushy, but just like this video showed love can be expressed differenlty. Honestly the people who have this perception of EXO are still stuck in 2015 and have probably never seen an EXO video in their life. Most outsiders get their info about EXO from stan twitter know-it-alls who like to judge other groups relationships without even knowing anything about them. those who were around in 2014-2016 when eri's were the "toxic" fandom everyone hated made these narratives and so all these false perceptions were created about EXO back then and are still being passed around to this day like fact.
All anyone has to look at is Lay still being exo even when he has no other reason to at this point, other than he loves them. chanyeol's video vcr to them at the concert and his lyrics in Hand. Kyungsoo assuring that despite his passion for acting, he would still choose EXO. Minseok wanting to be EXO's XIUMIN even when he is old. Jongdae doing what he needed to do for himself and the members basically telling anyone who had a problem with it that he was not going anywhere despite immense backlash. Jongin and Baekhyun saying that they already did the awards thing and now just want to spend time making memories together. Sehun saying he realized how important the members were in his life now that he is older. Junmyeon at radio star saying, whether they stay at SM or they leave, they make that decision together. It's the little things that matter and EXO have shown time and time again that they each can go off and do their own thing because at the end of the day EXO is home. Every one of them could make it on their own. They don't NEED each other, they WANT each other and that is what makes a family.

I think its really that they are no longer just friends or coworkers they see each other as family. they grew up together and lived together and they were lucky that they all have great chemistry together and they went through so much together that bond is just stronger than just friendship and you can see it in the way they look at each other. I have noticed some times when one of them does something adorable or funny and the rest look on them like you would when a younger baby sibling does something you find adorable and you think they are the cutest thing In the world.
