2 Amp is pretty impressive, will it need a heat sink?

A heat sink is never a bad idea on a stepper driver, but it would most likely have to be a custom or DIY one, as the module itself is only 3mm x 3mm.

This is the same style chip in every 3p printer, so these heatsinks are very common.
