The doorways are crazy low in these medieval buildings. It just shows how humans have evolved over the centuries. We once stayed in ancient Pub/Inn in Staffordshire, I kept bumping my head on low beams & doorways all weekend, and I'm only about 5'10"....lol. We also stayed in Bourton on the Water a few years back too, but in the summer though - when it's 10x more picturesque....but on the flip-side, crazyily, crazily busy, as you'd expect.
I would say that 60% of England is like this... Suffolk, Norfolk, Sussex, West Yorkshire, Cumberland, Hampshire, Worcestershire etc etc... It is just the big towns and cities and any 'new smaller towns' that ere modern and not quaint, sometimes ugly looking. How long have you been in UK? Have you not had a chance to travel to different parts of the countryside?
Hello! We’ve lived in England for about 3 years now. We have been to a few places: Peak District, Beverly, Cambridge, York, Brighton, Worcestershire, Cornwall, Stonehenge, and a few other places! We have been wanting to go to the Lake District with our dogs so we hope to do that soon!

If she says "cute" once more I'll have a seizure.
Why is this bloke walking around in workmens dungarees? Is he going to knock up a table and chairs while he is there?
