John Dowland dedicated the very first song I saw my lady weepe in his Second Booke to Holborne, that sais something.
This pavan is called The countess of Pembroke's, who was his patron.

Vielen Dank! Your videos & music are wonderful things to stream while I'm stuck incessantly in airport terminals -- you are providing a great service by placing music on line that helps me get through stressful days of airline delays!
So very beautiful, Dr. Stolz... Thank you so much...
Hi Ernst-
What is it about Holborne's music that makes me very introspective? Dowland has always made me sad and depressed at times, but Holborne's music seems to have this longing and yearning about it. Holborne seems to radiate a hope amidst great sorrow and resignation. This and "Night Watch" warmed my coffee this morning. Thank you. Must get to Church and play the organ! BRIAN
Beautiful!
Do you own "Holburn's Passion"?
I don’t find it depressing at all, uplifting yes, melancholy perhaps William Lawes.
@ernststolz Danke! But I think it is easier to predict the return of Jesus than the actual schedule of a Delta Airlines flight
