Going on a bit of a tangent of what I believe Wilds has learned from World and Rise. Also, I discuss the importance of endemic life creating a real world.
In hindsight, and even a bit at the time, Rise felt like a trial for ways they wanted to improve mobility in the game with. From the trailer and gameplay we've seen of Wilds, seems like their experiment was a success.
@Thath_spice had this in the works. But hard to do small editing and work on the thumbnail. Then they made a trailer video this weekend and wanted to do it. Thanks bro!
Excited to see what capcom brings to Wilds. Including the music! The music I used was from Iceborne. Certain they will have some wonderful compositions in Wilds.
@rorsuperush I am rly looking forward to the music track of wilds. I have played a bit of mh rise (5 stars low rank so far I think) and I honestly enjoyed the palamute and look forward to the new mount.
@0biscrabbles I think the palamute was a nice first draft of mounts in MH, but having to choose between the palamute or palico during multi-player was rough. But seems like in wilds you'll be able to have both pretty commonly.
@rorsuperush tbh I haven't even played multiplayer in rise yet (I save that for elder dragons I struggle to beat) but yeah that will be nice having both
Definitely think risebreak is great. Loved both games (world/rise) absolutely even with the hate for rise. I genuinely think Rise was mainly hated on for the graphics and being on the switch. And well, it was more of an arcade and quick game. But mounts, palamutes, there were some AMAZING additions. I think rise hate was forced.. because its rare now with sunbreak, i think it was because Rise was incredibly quick combat and world isnt. Rise combat is much crazier and the monsters are more dangerous, the thing is world monsters are slow, but the combat is slow too. Plus, palamutes were all optional. You could switch it out and all.
@tonton.- I do think Rise gets a bit too much hate. It wasn't made to be like world. And like you said added things to the series that will help the game grow. Seems like Wilds is using a mix of things from world and rise. And that's a good thing!
for me, palamute is a great addition when you start a new to the game, or when exploring a new map from the game, so you can explore it faster, but after awhile, palicoes will be better because they are basically a mini version of a hunter, they can traps, bombs, heals, which the palamute can't do, after playing more than 100 hours with palamute, i started to use palicoes only until the very end game, cos now i know how to use the shortcut/hill path correctly and getting hang of the ninja way, it's still slower than a palamute, but at least i can go to point a to point b faster using ninja way after awhile but for me, i like rise/sunbreak better because it plays faster, world is just too slow for me, the clutch claw system is not fun, it makes hunt longer if you don't use the claw properly, mantle makes the game kinda cheap after awhile, the ability to wirefall in rise is a godsent ability, it makes hunt faster and more fluid the pet collection on world/iceborne is pretty nice feature, but eventually its just a glorified lobby, you almost never go to other people's room anyway when you play, i think i only go to other people's room if the other people is bored after a long hunt session but overall, for me, newer monster hunter is always a better choice than old ones, if its rise vs world, i'll always choose rise but if its rise vs wilds, i'll always choose wilds lol
it's looking like world but bigger and better. and i'm sure i don't need to say that world is one of the best games ever made this will be capcom's elden ring

@charlesketch yeah agreed. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the new rider. But knowing it doesn't replace my calico makes me happy.
Glad to see you're back doing this again bro!

Really insightful analysis and good background music

U really should have played sunbreak i really enjoyed it. World has more visually but rise/sunbreak combat is vastly superior

I could see this game hitting the same level of success as elden ring. Seems to be a solid game!
Literally nothing, given their PC spec requirements and highly questionable implementation of Denuvo DRM
