Very nicely done! I just picked up this kit recently not expecting much since it was a Snap together. I was really surprised how detailed it is for a Snap together.
@@seeds4hobbies Nice job. Love the wheel/tire combo look. And as I'm sure you know, this was originally a Polar Lights kit reboxed under the AMT brand by R2. Build on!
Awesome video! Awesome kit! I have a couple question about the Tamiya cement your using. I noticed your brushing it on. Does it leave a build up of glue that is noticeable doing that? Secondly does it give you a strong bond?
It does leave a noticeable amount of glue but it is not too bad, they have an extra thin version which might be better if you are concerned about residue. Secondly yes it does give a strong bond! it is my favorite product for gluing parts together.
There was an original 1965 Dodge Coronet model and promo by AMT but try and find one today. And the prices are way up there. So, this new kit of a popular car is welcome and there is a convertible kit too. Unfortunately, there are the fit problems when assembling and the engine is very crude. So be prepared to do some extra work on this one. It can make a nice curb side model. Prepainted, but sometimes the hood doesn't match the body very well.
Always had a soft spot for the 65 Coronet since taking driver's training in one in high school.
I LOVE IT!!! TOTALLY AWSOME BUILD!!!TOTALLY AWSOME VIDEO!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
👍👍 both for the build vid & the "turn on" to Neffex.

Well it turned out cool. Thanks for the heads up on the terrible kit fitments!!

Thank you for watching and the sub! Greatly appreciated!
Good color composition. Adds a modern touch.
Very cool
AMT kits seem to have issues with fitment and instructions. Nice job despite the model kit.
Thanks! AMT is such a hit and miss with their kits, but their model variety is just so huge!
Another Polar Light mess…. My hat goes to the builder…
How come the snap kit bumpers fit nice but the glue on ones dont?
would cutting the snap together pieces just delete the snapon part i was bummed killer model but snap 2 is no good
for us old builders
Looking back this would make it a bit easier to assemble, just trim the snap parts and glue it together!

@@seeds4hobbies Thanks. I'm sure I will. I'm a cabinet maker by trade. I also paint the cabinets and really enjoy painting.

Did you clear-coat the body after painting the body or applying the silver touches?
I clear coat after applying all the silver touches/window trim
THATS ME I CUT ALL THE TABS OFF THEN YOU HAVE GLUE KIT BUT THAT ME. I DON'T LIKE SNÀPKITS. BUT I ENJOY MODELING.
