Don't pay attention to the complaints. How can anyone fail to understand that in order to properly instruct your audience, you need to use the key words for examples. Simply disable your echo while learning how to use it. This video was a perfect guide. Well done. 👌
Stop saying Alexa....please. Why not change your voice command to computer or echo for the video so we can try these skills along with you with out our Alexas going nuts.
Lmaao when your Alexa started talking about HeadSpace....My Alexa thought that was her cue to activate the skill and when you said pause , she paused. 😆
I hate headspace because Andi Puddicombe’s voice puts me INMEDIATELY into “ready for bed”. I started using headspace in 2014 but had to stop because i couldn’t meditate in the middle of the day (or any time) with that because my eyelids immediately got heavy - I hope that makes sense. I didn’t enjoy that effect.
I'm definitely more a Google person. If there's one company that's going to invade my home and steal all my info, it's going to be Google over amazon lol
HAHA. You are the third person so far to ask for a Google version! Ask and you shall receive. Also, Google has made some privacy updates recently that are pretty cool if you're interested: bit.ly/2W4sXh4
Thank you for these good skills that I will most def check out! However, for any future videos involving Amazon Alexa, please mute vocal “Alexa” commands. I constantly had to tell my Alexa to stop doing all the skills you demonstrating.

Thanks for your video. Just wanted to suggest that you call it The Echo Skill or Echo Device instead of Alexa as they are called Echo devices and not Alexa Devices, Alexa is just a key phrase. Also, please change your wake word or bleep it out so that you’re not triggering everyone’s Echo devices. Thanks for your time and knowledge. Hopefully you might make these changes and I’ll see your video again and subscribe but for now I have to pass.
Your video has a flaw it says the word Alex do this that people with an Echo will be annoyed as it will react. Anybody making these need to avoid saying Alexa some have
@@cleanjoey7120 Or our video presenter could mute it, which is much more convenient. Heck, he could just temporarily set the wake word to computer or echo... 3 devices in listening range. He must have said Alexa over 200 times. My devices went ballistic. I don't like to have to do a bunch of pre-work just to watch a video. I liked the video... just not the overuse of the wake word.

REALLY "SHOULD NOT" KEEP SAYING "ALEXA" IN YOUR VIDEOS! 98% OF YOUR VIEWERS HAVE THE DEVICE LISTENING
Hi Jerome, very good point and I will fix this in future videos. In the meantime, here's a written version that won't trigger Alexa: bit.ly/2HgHsbf
I feel like he was doing it on purpose, cause he said Alexa a lot! And as someone who says Alexa a lot, that ninja said Alexa! a lot!
Just mute your device
Good thing my girl changed her name to Echo ;)
Just mute your device you dummy

Just mute your device, it's not that hard 🙃
Do you have to say open deep sleep sounds for example though..cant you just say play thunderstorm instantly for example?
Unfortunately Alexa is quite that smart yet, that is of course if you believe what it says when you ask it about skynet.
This guy personality just love it
Thank you so much! For more info on the best Alexa skills, see my full written article: bit.ly/2HgHsbf

LOL. My bad, should've muted or quieted when I said Alexa! Here's the written version which shouldn't have the same issue: bit.ly/2HgHsbf
I muted the microphone on mine since I knew she was going to go off
Thanks! I added all these skill that all use generic statements like “what’s my flash briefing” and they never work?
Hmm, what does Alexa say to you when you ask?
Security Baron it plays every other flash briefing then the ones I downloaded? Go figure! Same thing for twister! It kept playing tongue twisters 🌪
@@hojuniverse Weird! These devices are far from perfect, unfortunately, but that's the case whenever you're using new tech

It would be nice to see this format for skills or features model for the Google units as well. Hope this is forthcoming... 😇
Yes, you're not the only one who requested an Assistant version! Putting it on the list.
my Alexa is listening to this with me XD

Same looool. Everything is like: storm noise
@@SecurityDotOrg I appreciate your hard work for finding these, even though this video is a year old
Other tech channels mute out the wake word. Just a suggestion.

Some great skills but you really know how to annoy watchers by having their Echos going off all throughout this.
😂😂

How is guard dog a home security skill?? There are a lot of skills that can give Dog and any other animal barking noise.
I didn't know half of those skills.
With over 50,000 Alexa skills available, it's unlikely you would! Here's the written version: bit.ly/2HgHsbf

Great video, but you should have figured out a way to mute the word Alexa. You started quite a conversation with my Alexa.
I love how i pay for youtube but every video has a sponsored ad in it anyway..
That’s on you. Who pays for youtube?

Who else is watching this on an Alexa lol😂😂😂

Hmm, maybe I'll do a best Google Assistant actions video!
Most of the skills you recommend have crappy ratings. Are you getting paid for these?
I'm not, these are all free skills.
P.S unplug your alexa
