Luggi. You’re absolutely right. I own and operate many saws. About half are Stihl. About a third of them are Husqvarna. There are features I like and dislike about both brands. My comment was meant as good natured kidding. Often the written word fails to convey the intended humor.
Why start a cut with another tree on top? Why not start your cut from the compression side then shift to the tension when the kerf begins to tighten? Or, why not use a wedge earlier so that it would actually make a difference? I'm new at this, but it seems like a lot of simple stuff was ignored.
Mfg. Thilo Schieschke.

8:40 two saws stuck, maybe you need two more. 11:00 loosen the chain tightener clean off the junk wood from on top of the log, maybe it is exerting pressure and it would fall on you if you finish your failed cut.
I had that happen to me once cutting storm damaged trees. Also got two saws stuck after I listened to a team member's suggestion to use the second saw to free the first one and I had wedges in the log. I had the fortune to have another team member nearby who went and got some heavy equipment to lift the log and both saws just fell out.
@@georgeavery7420 Thank you. I do too but the car was far away. If the other person hadn't have seen me down there I would have taken the bars off and left them there until I could get them out
When you fell timber up slope it is best to start the bucking on the up-hill end so that gravity is not so much against you. You can limb and mark the logs as you work your way up. We can still screw-up on occasion.
Please, dont call yourself a professional lumbeejack if you cant read the pinches in the lumber. Always look on the fallen tree how it bends and make a v cut on the inside of the bend and make the final cut from the outside of the bend. And another tip of cutting windfallen trees is to limb it from the bottom to the top and mark where to cut the logs whole limbing. And when you are at the top go back and cut the timber down to the base of the tree. It will get less work at trying to cut loose a chainsaw only to pinch the backup saw. Greetings from Sweden
5:45 crawls under cut log.... 7:45 finally gets out a wedge... and pounds it in... with another wedge... 🤷♂️🤣 Maybe chainsaws aren't your specialty.... 🤓😉👉
Looks like he’s cutting a bunch of blow down, it’s more difficult to know where the pressure is at when your logs are laying everywhere! I’ve had days like that
At the 8:40 time stamp , what the hell is he thinking ?? Why in the world would anyone cut on a fallen tree that had ANOTHER TREE on TOP of it ???? It's called pressure and that's why he screwed up , always always always cut the top tree first regardless of what the experts say this is a no brainier here , and yes I have many years experience working with chainsaws and I have maybe only got my saw stuck twice in twenty years, and that was because of wind shifting the tree and just being tired one day and getting sloppy and didn't notch out a small leaner that sat back on my bar , being real here seriously !!
Hey! Nice video, as always. I was wondering, do you test the new 572 for Husqvarna or do they sell them in Austria already? Do you have one, two or more, and how do you like them? Greetings from Peter in Sweden.
Luggi hah, you think felling trees in some specific part of Austria is so special that a pro looks like a dumbass? Maybe the pro is really an amateur thinking he is a pro? Usually things are what they seem to be. I am sure if you bring a real pro from any serious foresting country, like Canada, Sweden, Finland, he would not make those beginner mistakes time after time after time. A pro recognizes compression side and cuts accordingly, releasing tension on correct side. Uses wedges if needs, but usually not needed in cases we see here
Even with with wedges that's still some dangerous stuff...I've had big ass sections hold up in place for over a minute after being cut clean thru then let loose out of nowhere.
If you get your chainsaw stuck, and of course, ahem, it's never happened to me, unbolt the bar and move the saw to a safe place and then try to wiggle the bar out. Then re cut the trunk a foot down. You could really damage the saw by trying to wiggle it out by force. The one time it, ahem, never happened to me, I drove home got a new bar and chain and went back.
I’m still trying to figure out what this guy’s plan was in the first place. I get trying to cut a jammed saw out, but why cut where there’s a chance of getting the second stuck? Obviously you guessed the compression wrong the first time. Why not relieve the stress somewhere else. It looks like he’s trying to cut for lumber not firewood, so I get not ruining the log. This is just jackassery. You ran into a problem and didn’t stop to think it through before you went and tried to fix it.

Good video but you boys really had the worst luck that day :)) You should,I mean i would take my saw and go for a nice cold beer and come back some other day and come back with tractor or some other machine and pull those timber away if it's possible.Wish you very best and less of acc, like this, cheers.
I was in a woods cutting one day and found 3 bars and chains in this down log. Someone unhooked 3 power heads sometime that morning. I cut the bars out and set them on the log. I took the wood I cut to set them free. Lol. Never did find out who's they were. I did know of a few guys cutting in the same spot I was. They never mentioned it.
You should remove the guidebar at the beginning and continue sawing the logs. Or ,several wedges wit big hammer, with you to spread the log and get out the chainsaw.
One of those days!! At least he had the balls to put it on UA-cam, unlike so many others!
I guess it's quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to watch new series online?

you are really fucked up if your second saw ist not on board or is also stuck !
This was not mega fail. You saved your equipment.
We all have fallen victim of that end way pressure that pinch you.
Good job.
All respect for sharing this. This does happen and expected. Well done to get them out
The way he put those saws back together at the end? Sorry to all you haters but this guy knows what he’s doing!
Fantastic. I have learned so much during last 2 weeks of uncuts. Thank you Austria Forst.

Yes we do. Usually at the restaurant over coffee!😁
This guy is an Austria "Forstfacharbeiter" he knows more than all off you people saying he´s dumb or not professional, trust me!

He makes the exact same mistake over and over again, rather than doing things the correct way. Professional Actor maybe.

Why not start at the bottom and insert a felling wedge when it begins to move?
@Texas CAT Manuals It is really NOT difficult, in case you have IQ 70+
It can only get better.

Is this video a joke on what not to do?
You make Bucking Billy Ray sad man
Emily Euler yes that’s for sure

Go ahead start at the top but drive a wedge in to lift the top? And relieve the other tree from the pressure side.??
bad karma Day... 😬💪👍
You need tons of practice!
Find a skilled faller to learn from. Or the next tree may be your last.
Cash I can’t believe this is real
Can't believe there isn't more chainsaw related accidents due to inexperience fallers.
If Buckin' Billy Ray falls trees like he bucks yeah I can see the entertainment in it. But I also see the dangers in it too.
I'll do that. Thx
I’m sorry buy buckin billy and this particular individual have absolutely nothing in common, other than the fact they are both on UA-cam
Been there and done that. Its one of those "shit happens "kind of things
Tape out buck back and you have to make sure you cut that low far side it will pinch towards saw every time. Tape out buck back!!!!
