These are great! I need to make the single-clamp version for myself :) Two ideas for the double-clamp version: 1. Replace the release-button bolts with a handle attached to a hinge that presses both buttons at the same time. Squeeze the handle, move the block with the other hand, release the handle and you can clamp again right away. 2. Use longer locking pins with a keyring or tab to remove them without a magnet, and/or attach them to a handle/bar to pull them both out at the same time :)
Interesting idea!👍 It is possible to improve this device - to make the rear sponge of the vise movable with fixation in certain positions. Then it will be possible to clamp larger parts in a vise.
Interesting hack from a doability perspective but I don't quite see the appeal of such a expensive (time and material) contraption with reduced stability and clamping force compared to a clamping mechnism using a leadscrew.
Interesting concept, excellently executed but I'm not convinced about the bolt release system. Turning both clamps vertical, as in the first example, would offer better opportunities for a release system. Please don't get into the habit of putting words like 'amazing', 'remarkable' or 'unique' in your thumbnails. Your work is all those but you do not need to descend to the level of third-class click-bait.
