The whole thing with 'subscriber inflation' is that UA-cam became a bigger thing, and started to become mainstream. So more people signed up to UA-cam, and the more people there are, the less impression things like 1 million subscribers becomes.

I remember being in concert band back in jr high and high school, and I didn’t have performance anxiety until we had a music tour performance in Seattle in my sophomore year and ever since I’ve had performance anxiety

The fact that a million subs on UA-cam is considered passable has shown how abritrary sub counts have gotten. Doesn't really feel like the "You" isn't in UA-cam anymore, which is sad.
