      I had a question if anyone could answer me! Do you need a special license or something to make money with your drone in Canada? I know you need a part 107 license in USA and wasn’t sure if you needed something similar in Canada also if so does that also apply to a drone Under 250 grams like a dji mavic mini or dji mini 2

    • @davidstone6305
      @davidstone6305 3 роки тому

      @@gboys4718 from what I understand from Peter Mckinnon, Canada is actually stricter on drone laws. I think to just fly recreationally a test needs to be taken. We're about to have a test implemented too which sucks but hey it seems pretty easy as long as you study.

    I appreciate so much you sharing your experience doing assignments for Drone Base. I am a new 107 piolet and I purchased a mavic mini 2 to learn to fly drones. Monetizing my business once I purchase a drone that can handle more professional assignments was a concern and utilizing a company like Drone Base seems like a great way to get my feet wet while learning video software. Thanks for doing the math on your earnings. Good to know.

    Thanks for the info here. I'm just getting started with a drone. I was wondering when you get to a location do you at least go up to the house you are taking pics of and let the homeowners know you are there, or do you just get the pics you need and then move o to next assignment? Also with drone base missions do you do any post processing before submitting pics?

    • @Aeroeyez
      @Aeroeyez  4 роки тому

      Sean Gross Thanks for watching and reaching out with your question. For any of my DroneBase assignments, I typically don’t go up to the house. Most of the time, DB requests that the pilot remains discreet. For other jobs, I will go up to the house and let them know that I’m there. As for post processing, DB takes care of it all. I just shoot and upload.

    Just curious. About the privacy laws. Is this exempt because it is a legit business with no intent to do "surveillance? Because what if someone shows up in an aerial shot in their backyard behind a fence and sees the video on the MLS? I love your channel. Professional Land surveyor here that flies RC planes and just getting into drones. I may retire in 3.5 years and use tis to supplement my retirement. Would love to discuss more through e-mail. Insurance questions, etc.

    Might be worth if you're struggling, otherwise it's a bit silly pricing.
