MOIL's Production and Mines

Steel has become an essential part of our lives.
We are proud to mention that MOIL is the largest producer of Manganese Ore in India with over 60% of the market share.
An annual Manganese Ore production of 1.3M tonnes, 95% of which is put into the production of steel with 11 mines across Bhandara, Nagpur, Balaghat, etc.
MOIL owns 7 underground mines and 4 opencast mines. Which, Balaghats underground mine is 430 meters and is the deepest in Asia.
Additionally, Balaghat's mine is home to MOIL's only Ferro Manganese Plant. It also invested in a plant for EMD (Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide).
The plant is the first of its kind in India.
In the Gumgaon mine of MOIL, the installation of a second vertical shaft is in the process.
MOIL possesses a strength of 6400+ dedicated workers.
We are well on our way towards further modernization & expansion & doubling the production to 25 Lakh My by Financial Year 2024-25.
