From a fictional story based on a moment in Australian Colonial history known as the Gold Escort robbery on Sunday 15 June 1862. Frank Gardener, whose real name was Francis Christie, was the gang leader and mastermind of the Eugowra NSW holdup - and Kitty's lover.
