FRANCE Montclus & lavender fields (9 June 2022)

- In June we visited France and Germany. Join us on our every day trips. On the way to our first destination (Trescouvieux) we saw the first lavender fields at St Thome and we visited the small, old village of Montclus.
Montclus is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. The village is surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields. Population is less than 100.

What a perfect pairing of the notes of the piano with the stalks of lavender undulating in the wind. Pure magic. The south of France is a very special place. It’s not that it’s so beautiful and quant (many places are) but it FEELS so old (like Jerusalem). I have to get back there some day.

Dank je Leen. Wij gingen speciaal voor de lavendel velden en de oude dorpen naar het zuiden. De lavendel bloeit van half juni tot augustus. Komende week nog veel meer velden. Fijn weekend!

Those lavender fields are beautiful . This landscape is very beautiful and untouched. The village is beautifully situated between the fields. Recently Montclus has also been classified "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France". receive. The tower and ruins of the castle (built between the 12th and 17th centuries) have been classified as a historical monument since 1990. In particular, the high square keep, which remains of the castle, determines the view of Montclus, soustets of the town and offers a fantastic view of the surroundings. Hoie Harrie , je hebt er al veel achtereen gedeeld maar ik vang vandaag met deze aan. En wat is het mooi hier en ik heb dan ook met de mooie muziek daarbij met plezier naar deze mooie video gekeken. Mooi zijn die lavendelvelden en in gedachten ruik ik ook de geuren hiervan.😉Heel mooi en ongerept is dit landschap. Het dorp ligt mooi tussen de velden. Sinds kort heeft Montclus ook de classificatie "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France". ontvangen. De toren en de ruines van het kasteel (gebouwd in de loop van de 12e tot en met de 17e eeuw) zijn sinds 1990 een historisch monument. Vooral de hoge vierkante donjon, die nog over is van het kasteel, bepaalt het aanzicht Montclus, soustetsvan het stadje en biedt een fantastisch uitzicht op de omgeving.
