The story behind the writing of this song is absolutely heartbreaking. That Horatio Spafford could write these words after the losses he suffered is such a testimony of Christ at work in his heart.
Such an inspiration that he still turned to God in the face of such loss that would have most of us questioning God.
What’s even more sad is that he ended up leading a cult at the end of his life that denied the resurrection. :(

I always love all their music.. But "It is well" is a totally different song, also very beautiful. The correct title of this one is "It is well with my soul", not "It is well".

Are you referring to the lyrics? Or the music style. Because if you're referring to the lyrics this hymn was created WAY before bethel was even a thought. And all music is similar. Love this version of this hymn.
