Most people in subcontinent prefer the taste of whipping cream.

Taste wise I personally like Swiss meringue buttercream, and if we talk about stability then American buttercream.
For cupcakes I always go for whipping cream. Agar uper fondant lagana ho go bhi main whipping cream hi use karti hun for cupcakes.

Because this is moist chocolate sponge, isay soak karnay ki zaruurat nahin hoti.
