    Hey Stallatube! When I'm building my next watermelon protection structure I will be sure to use Stallatube high strength stainless steel hollow section square tubes! My watermelons deserve the best! Ride ride ride!

      That’s awesome to hear! Your watermelons will be in the safest hands (or tubes) with Stalatube’s high-strength stainless steel hollow sections. 🍉
      Just imagine, your watermelons will be living the high life, protected by the same steel that survived Jamie Hyneman’s extreme tests! Ride on, and may your watermelons stay safe and sound!

      How many impacts are produce protection pergolas required to be rated for? For only one impact, a structure that behaves like the first one would be better, due to the impactor not bouncing around as much.

    Season 2 was very fun to watch, thank you for making it 🙂
    I love Pekka's charisma, he and Jamie are perfect co-hosts for this type of experiments 😄

    Pekka says.... "Yes"😄
    You bring mild steel temperatures down by ONLY 150 or so degrees, and it is rendered completely useless. I did not expect that at all! 🤯 I always think of it as being a relatively "soft" and durable material compared to even 316. It did indeed shatter in a fascinating way compared to the way the 800 just kinda broke! That slow mo footage is great! The Stala800 drop test looked fake in real time! It shrugged that off like nothin! Lol! Amazing stuff you have there in Finland!

      Yes! Thanks for the awesome comment! 😄
      It’s amazing how temperature can change everything, right? The slow-mo footage was definitely a highlight. And STALA800 is a tough cookie, isn’t it? 🦾 We’re glad you enjoyed the tests and the footage, so stay tuned!

    Is it normal for words to just pop up around Pekka in real life?

    • @Jupex
      @Jupex 2 місяці тому +4

      Thats a Finnish thing. It gets annoying sometimes, like when you're in bed etc

      Haha, great question! 😄
      While it would be pretty cool if words magically appeared around Pekka in real life, that’s just a bit of video magic to make the series even more fun and engaging.

    Out of curiosity, how much input did Jamie have in planning the outdoor demonstrations, because this and the bridge test are just missing a related myth, otherwise they could have easilly been on mythbusters?

      Yes, Jamie has been planning and executing the test together with our engineers. The tests are based on the wishes and comments of our UA-cam followers highlighting the unique technical properties offered by our high-strength grades.

    Great stuff, both the products and the videos! Interesting, educational and entertaining at the same time. So awesome to see both Pekka and Jamie again! Unmatched chemistry between the two, all you are missing for an iconic trio (like Clarkson/Hammond/May) would be somebody expressive to lighten things up a bit, like a KUKA KR 10.
    I have a feeling that there are more possibilities yet to demonstrate the superiority of Stalatube products over mild steel variants. I realize it may be quite a bit more difficult to implement, but maybe you can leverage Jamie's extensive experience regarding explosives to demonstrate their improved resistance to them? Also, I wonder how they fare in case of a cannonball impact? I'm sure the audience will have many more ideas, maybe do a survey and pick a few winning ideas, based what would be most interesting, educational and (relatively) easy to realize?
    Thank you for making these videos, if I ever have an application that requires high strength steel hollow sections, Stalatube will certainly be my supplier of choice. And please keep it up! I will make sure to share your content with my machine and structure building friends and colleagues!

      Thank you so much for the kind words and fantastic feedback! We’re thrilled to hear you find the series interesting, educational, and entertaining.
      Thanks also for your ideas! Did you know that we actually planned Season 2 based on feedback from our UA-cam followers after Season 1 ua-cam.com/video/y2etDYL0byU/v-deo.html
      We appreciate your support and for sharing our content with your friends and colleagues. Stay tuned! 🤩

      @@stalatube_official Oooh, I did in fact not know that! Alas, although being a subscriber, the YT algorithm neglected to present that video to me. Thanks for pointing it out, good to know that you are already harnessing the "wisdom of the crowd". I shall therefore also hit the bell icon and keep my eyes peeled for a similar call for ideas! 💡👀♥

    Would this material be an option for bumper push bars and brush guards crash guards? Law enforcement pit maneuver cars, first responders, off road recovery vehicles? Is it cost prohibitive to be used in those type applications? Keep up the great work.

    • @stalatube_official
      @stalatube_official  Місяць тому +1

      Thank you for the good question!
      Yes, high strength stainless steels are optimal materials for all kind of crash guard applications due to excellent energy absorption capacity.

    Mites ruostuminen?
    Noi kaikki näytti olevan pinnoittamattomia, niin mites testit menee pinnoituksen jälkeen?

    • @bobsnabby2298

    • @stalatube_official
      @stalatube_official  Місяць тому

      Ruostumattomia teräksiä ei lähtökohtaisesti pinnoiteta ollenkaan. Lujia rakenneteräksiä esim. kuumasinkitys voi heikentää.

    On niin dramaattiset musiikit putkien pätkimisessä että menee kyllä huumorin puolelle. Mainokseksi hyvä.
