This era was actually a really poor one in terms of player quality for the Germans.. They had one or two very good players but that was it. Other greats were reaching the end of their peaks or suffered injuries (Ziege, Bierhoff). Tbh, beating England was of no real surprise though. During the World Cup in 2002, they got lucky, partly by playing so many mediocre teams before Brazil beat them in the final. It wasn't until 2006 that Germany began to produce more talent.
The old Wembley Stadium where we had our greatest moment in English Football history again against the 'old enemy ' 4-2. I visited Wembley before it was transformed into the truly fantastic home of today 3. time's and have to say it couldn't have happened sooner...a real shame that it had been repeatedly ignored by those running the game and/or the owner's! Decade's of memories for so many fans😢
@@Vitus2012 OK friend...please don't be too cruel on us England fans! We've had many...MANY year's of disappointments most at the hands of your lot the great German national team wonderful player's who's skill and self belief got you to the very top of the World game time and time again 🙏😊
Remember vividly John Barnes saying something like " David will be disappointed with that"...really John do you reckon 🤔 it was of course a terrible blunder...BUT David was a great keeper a towering man who instilled confidence amongst the team and fans! and boy didn't England make up for it BIG TIME in Germany!
How many times did David Seaman cock up for England? Holland (1993), Germany (2000), Brazil (2002) - the list goes on!
And against Macedonia in 2002.
Seaman was a brilliant keeper, but after France '98, he was on his last legs (international wise).
ROMANIA 1998. Petrescu megged him in the 90th.
Brazil was a freak Goal
@@DannyBoy777777 that was Nigel Martin but OK.

Sadest i ever felt as a England fan. Really upset me!😢😥😭
"..caught out David Seaman". I'm shocked. Shocked.
