In Chicago Uber is using trip radar to trick drivers into taking fares with destinations into the most dangerous neighborhoods like Austin and Englewood that drivers are refusing to take. How so? Trip radar offers are not showing the cross streets of the drop Orr location. For example Halsted st runs north and south for 32 miles thru the city. Trip radar pops up with an offer showing the pickup location and the destination says it's a 9 mile trip to Halsted St. Chicago. 9 miles north could be inthe predominantly safe area known as WrigleyVille where the Chicago Cubs baseball stadium is or 9 miles to the south Halsted Street is the murder Capitol of the city with shootings car jackings rapes and robberies. Don't ge.t caught lacking with the Uber "Trick Radar" taking you into the hood. Yep I spelled that right it's ubers "Trick Radar" not " Trip Radar" your life is not worth going into some of these dangerous areas for chump change.
