Hurt to see my city suffer , I was stuck in my house for days, all roads closed around my neighborhood were closed due to flooding. Couldn’t go anywhere, my street flooded about 3 feet, thank god my house was elevated.

I don't understand one thing, why the fuck didn't these people leave, when they heard there was a hurricane it was morning for over a week that it was going to be tense and life-threatening, I honestly have a part of me that says I shouldn't feel bad even though I know it's bad, but like they knew right.....
P.S. don't take me wrong I'm not trying to be insensitive, I know people sometimes don't have place to go, but they were couple interviews before the hurricane, and these people are like I don't care we're going to stay and protect our homes, like dude wtf... Then some emergency volunteer has to risk their lives to rescue you for being a dumbass?
Aron Tyberg Okay both of you are totally and completely wrong. The reason we didn't leave was because 6.5 million people would've been trying to evacuate the city. There would've been mass chaos, mass panic, more people would've died just like Allison, and we had no way of predicting how terrible this storm would be. Don't talk about what you don't know we wouldn't have made it out of the city alive.

Abby B dude they were predicting hurricane harvey for over 2 weeks, and saying how bad it was going to be, and they could have done evacuation city-by-city or area by area or something like that
around 6 million people live there, if everyone tried to leave it could of been much much worse, as it could of caught millions outside their homes trapped in traffic.
Hat's off to all of those helping for the sake of good who don't care about who gets any credit for it. Taking care of people because it's the right thing to do.

Hurt to see my city suffer , I was stuck in my house for days, all roads closed around my neighborhood were closed due to flooding. Couldn’t go anywhere, my street flooded about 3 feet, thank god my house was elevated.
