Succulent information Care tips for succulents
1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia,strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growing period …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it will make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

Thankyou so much for this. I am a beginner and this happened with me when i bought soil from a local very well known plant shop. Unfortunately my plant babies died😢., learnt the hard way :(. Now the few ones I own are in your soil mix and 2 in plain cinder. I am following your instructions very diligently now😊

I suspect the trust basket fine red silt that is the cementing agent to this gluten filled soil.like bread from the neighbouring bakery 😜
I'm just assuming filtering this soil prior to drying should work fine.(Credit goes to the L.G)

Very surprising as I use this soil mix but it is cinder based

oh that something new maybe its the cinder chunks avoiding compactness...i had used directly from bag and added little sand

I also did not like this soil. When i opened the bag it was wet and clumped up. Heavy. I tried it but didnt get good results. Other products are actually good. Unfortunately we dnt have a ready to use good succulent soil neither a good bonsai soil. I prefer to make my own. A good succulent soil wl be a boon as all my friends always take cuttings and even smaller pots and promptly murder it. Bad soil Translates in to sure death eventually for the poor succulent
