Nadine Beiler represented Austria at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, performing the song 'The Secret Is Love'. Austria came in 18th position in the Final with 64 points.
For me, one of the most underrated songs in the history of ESC.
No, she stoled russian and english points.

Just imagine this song with live orchestra.. That would be a pure Eurovision gold..
Still listening to this masterpiece in 2019. This is the reason why we need juries, the audience ranked it 24th..totally insane. Best Austrian entry so far.

Interesting Fact:
She won Starmania in 2007, while the second placed person was Tom Neuwirth (aka Conchita Wurst).
Also 2007 entry, Eric Papalaya was on the show as well and the host was Arabella, one of the hosts of 2015 ESC.
I've heard literally hundreds of Eurovision songs. There's no doubt that this is top 5, one of the greatest songs ever sung in any competition. Amaaaazing!!

Nine years later I still love to hear Nadine's song. A wonderful voice to a marvellous power-love song. If she would be swedish she would have excited whole Europe. Just magnificent. I highly appreciate her performance from 2011. At that time, today and in future

The Germans were dead right to give this song 12 points.
Nadine makes the finest sound here that I have ever heard in a song - it's when she sings 'We're not meant to stay', at about 2.25.
As I write this, it's the day after Eurovision 2015 and there were some good songs. Maybe that prepared me somehow for appreciation of what Nadine achieved in this song; but I was already aware of how special I had found this to be.

this is song is ranked 5th on JURY VOTES and 24th on TELEVOTES. So we now know why this entry is end up at 18th place

Easy, because the people hear music with the ass....... If the performance doesn't include some of party or madness, or if the country doesn't belong to some geographic-strategic group so is better forget a high place to the country that year... I didn't see her as the winner but neither deserved that final position.

Probably the best Austrian entry in many many years. It is nice to see Austria back in ESC! I am glad this got strong 7 points from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final.

With these 64 points she would have been Top 10 in a year like 2015. I felt sorry for her 18th place in 2011, but seeing Bogdana being happy with 10th place and 52 points from mostly neighbours, Nadine has even more reason to be happy. What struck me 2011, 2013 and 2015 is that Austria really sucks at televoting without a Conchita. In all those years they were the big televoting losers by huge margins compared to juries. In 2011 Nadine was 5th with juries but second to last in the televoting, in 2013 Nataliá was 5th with juries in her semifinal and still couldn't get through to the finals because of televoters, and this year the Makemakes were decently 14th with juries and were so low in the televoting that it was an overall nul points score.... I don't know what goes wrong here.
And Zoe was 8th in the televoting in 2016
But Nathan get no televotes 1 year later (2017), and this year Cesar's (2018)televotes points couldn't allow him to win the contest although he won the juries votes

I can´t believe Eric Saade beat this, once again the Eurovision voters proving that all they like is cheesy generic music.
She was actually 5th with the jury but the public placed her like 24th or something aroun that position.

Cracking effort from the Austrians here. Soaring, gospel tinged, anthemic. Deserved better from the voters of Europe but then that's what you get for voting for the Anschluss. Politics casts a long shadow in this contest.
The bad thing is, I did not respond to this song at first, but only now I am realising how great it is... I think this happens with a lot of entries in Eurovision, where winners are not necessarily that great... I liked Azerbaijan at first, but further on it's nowhere near entries like this...
