Thanks for the great video. I have a phono preamp with balanced inputs. Can I connect only hot and cold for each channel from the turntable into the xlr connector therefore there would be just two wires into each xlr connector. Thanks for any help
I have the vintage Technics SL-33, which is from a decade earlier, with original cartridge and SAS Stylus, connected to a Rega Phono mm preamp. The same setup, where turntable and preamp on one side of the room and Onkyo Analogue amp on the other. Having thoughts to convert to balanced too. Any suggestions?
I have just recent Buy this turn table. The only problem was the rotting turn table mat. Just ordered a New one whit the same specs 4mm thick. İam happy whit it. Also upgraded the headshell and the stylus to ortofon 2m blue. In the future i will upgrade also the rca cables to and i see some tweaks for the tone arm whit o rings . Thanks for the video.
How would the connections change if you wanted to connect to a RS2 set up? I have a technics 1310 and I’m getting everything together to follow the steps in your video but instead of going to the native instruments and then to the Av8805a I wanted to connect into a RS2 box set up. So how would these connections change? What would I need to do differently?
The lubricant in the trip mechanism has probably hardened and gotten thick. A good cleaning and new lubricant might fix it. Make sure your solvent won't harm any plastic and the same for the lubricant light viscosity and sparingly would be best. It is a pretty simple mechanism and I believe purely mechanical. Mine is sitting right in front of me and waiting for me to flip the Wire album that's sitting on it over.
Thanx a lot pal, I love that turntable so I recently repair my dad's sld2...so now is mine and keep spinning records!!! Cheers to all
Rock on!
Very reliable turntable and my Stanton 680 EL II DJ likes the heavier tone arm.

skip it. balanced three foot run doesn't do squat for sound quality.

Hmm...awesome work and explanation. But this isnt truly balanced right? Just using XLR?
AWESOME. OUTSTANDING, bruh!!
Glad you liked it!

How does the sound card provide the RIAA equalisation?
It has build-in phono stage, four of them to be more precise.
Hi it is necessary to use a pre amplifier to a turntable?
Yes, absolutely! It's mot only a pre amplifier but it is also a curve corrector.
Very interesting 😍
Hopefully you found if useful!
in this Technics SL-D2 how to calibrate the start and automatic return, the arm does not return .....
Try to find the Service Manual. I know it's available.
Did you find a Service Manual ?

@@MyUA-cam. yes!
@@stevengagnon4777 Yes I could! Also the problem was solved when I pressed the stop button. After that the return started working perfectly!
Genius!!
Thanks for watching!
You need a dust cover....
Ничего не понятно, но очень интересно! ;)
