I suspect that the pilot might have tried to fly *above* the storms or turbulence but the airplane had to reduce its altitude to land.

    something sus here
    1. earlier news, tell that turbulence causing the problem. Thus, we assume the plane going to some thick cloud of sorts but it doesn't seem the case
    2. there is no warning of turbulence ahead. Thus, passengers have no seat belts. If the plane expecting turbulence, the pilot would announce it and most passengers will sit down and wear seat belt. Thus, less people hit the ceiling when it happened
    3. The witness didn't mention about bad weather but the plane is taking height. It should have been quite steep since he can notice the difference

  • @cheuman1

    The queries of the incident would be into:
    1. Did the weather radar switch-on? If it was on, did the radar show any heavy cloud ahead?
    2. Did the pilot try his best to detour and stay a way from the turbulence cloud or air space? IF it is unavoidable, then 3 below
    3. Did the pilot announce to the cabin, alerting every passenger and crew members to return to the seat and fasten the seat belt?
    All injuries could be avoided if everyone was seated and fasten the seat belt.
    Nothing wrong with the aircraft.

    • @styren2815
      @styren2815 27 днів тому +2

      1) Current weather radar technology is NOT able to detect CAT (Clear Air Turbulence) yet as of now. It is able to detect clouds, but NOT CAT.
      2) Refer to answer 1
      3) This is definitely CAT, and you are not able to detect it until you are in it. This is most likely what happened. Pilots follow a rule mainly:
      - Aviate
      - Navigate
      - Communicate
      In that order. As you can see communication is the least of their concerns, after the incident, they will definitely inform ATC and the passengers & cabin crew, only once they aviate the plane, and navigate.

    • @cheuman1
      @cheuman1 27 днів тому

      @@styren2815 #1. is subject to the investigation. Agree with you that CAT is not visible to the radar.
      My point is, if the incident was not due to CAT, the pilot has the responsibility to make the announce alerting the coming turbulence, and get everyone to fasten the seat belt. Most injuries or death could be avoided if the passenger follow the instruction from the pilot.
      I have no comment on the after event. Airlines and govt have done whatever they needed to do.

    • @styren2815
