Nice video about p&l,but operating profit main other income count ki hai,you can see in Godrej too. But example jo computer ka bataya hai vo 30000 kis expenditure mai aayenge, depreciation samajh mai aa gaya, 10000 less ho jayega,but 30000 ka expanse kis mai mention hoga, total expenditure mai to ho nahi sakta nahi to operating profit kam ho jayega, ya fir kahi bhi mention nahi hoga?? Pls clear kijiye

I guess its due to reduction in corporate taxes
Negative taxes are due to deferred tax asset which is mat credit recognized and used to set off tax liabilities

The company had minimum alternate tax credit which was recognized in the fy 2018-19. The credit is more than the tax payable , which resulted in a net tax which is negative figure 😎👍

Hi Pranjal, I am one of your subscribers and must say that the knowledge I am getting from your videos is amazing.
With due respect, I need to clear one thing in the Operating profit section. You said that in the Operating profit section we do not cover Other Income. But if we calculate, We are getting the exact Operating Profit figure as shown on P%E reports using this formula (Net Sale + Other Income - Total Expenditure = Operating Profit) For Exp in 2019, ( 10314+109 = 10423 - 8183 = 2240 ). But to get the exact figure, we have to include Other Income as well.
Please confirm if I am wrong here or I am right. Thanks in Advance.

For eg: if we know that Godrej Consumer is doing good and Godrej Industries is at discount. So where should we invest.
In Godrej Consumer or Godrej Industries?
