I imagine the kid is maybe five or six, too young to understand who her father is, or that her "caretaker" is more like a bodyguard. Probably so nïeve that she doesn't get why the speaker might be a danger to her, as a mafia don's tiny daughter. It's kinda sweet that the speaker isn't really taking advantage of a little kid, even if she would potentally make good leverage/a decent hostage. It's also really cool that he warned her about others who could hurt her.
I'd love the idea that the little girl found the handcuff key and helped him escape but as a game, where they can't be caught and if gets out of there they win. Or if he does escape HIS mafia capture the little girl as leverage and this time he betrays his colleges to save her and get her back home. And the dad assumed HE kidnapped her and has to figure our what to do.
It's been 84 years... and this script is FINALLY filled!!! It feels so amazing to know that my favorite script ended up being my 200th script fill! Thanks so much for everything, Amare!!!
