I came across this video as I was preparing to go to sleep. It was then that I realized that your voice is really, very soothing. It is what I would describe as comforting. On the flip side, unless I am looking on the close captions, there are only a few words I recognize however, that is fine. I'll look at it as a challenge to intake the beautiful language of Japan through osmosis. 😊 Thank you for continuing to amaze me with your talants!

Wow, you scored, a variety pack, that's the best. When I was a kid me, my mom and my sister were so afraid of spiders. I remember we'd all stand on the couch and scream whenever we saw a spider. I'm still scared of spiders but now I vacuum them up or if they are on the ceiling my husband does it. Silly I know. I'm glad your back is almost healed. These talks are so soothing and the have a feeling of intimacy and old friendship about them which I love. In Japan, “darning” is called Boro, an ancient technique. I believe done with sashiko stitching and indigo dyes. Very beautiful and valuable garments although they were utilitarian work clothes continuously patched. You may enjoy researching that Hiro. Darning is actually weaving so if you approach it like that it becomes a much easier concept, still difficult to accomplish to perfection tho. Luckily if you are just interested in functionality not beauty, anyone can do an acceptable job. I have done many 'darns' and found they can even be quite decorative so imperfections are actually a feature. Free you creative spirit and darn how it pleases you.

辛子レンコン、いいですね。時々ディジョンマスタード味の蓮根きんぴらを作るのですが、なぜ自分がそれを思いついたか、今、合点がいきました。でも、レンコン独特のあの歯ごたえは厚みのある辛子レンコンじゃないと味わえないですね。久しぶりに食べたくなりました。
