Did you know that putting blobs of blu Tack under an amplifier, CD player or computer (Or any electronic device that has audio/video circuits), will soften the sound (less brutal sound), for a more pleasant and relaxing, STRESS FREE experience.
Blu Tack is used by audiophiles due to it's excellent damping and anti-resonant properties, It also stops objects falling over and breaking in earthquakes.

Great advice! Thanks so much. We're in the process of looking for work in NZ as soon as things open up again. It's hard to wait but also gives us lots of time to do things right and do tons of research. Your channel helps a lot!

The FIRST Thing You Must Do Before Designing A House.
Before building a new home, or adding an extension to your existing home, visit your local government building department. (City Council).
Your local building department will have plumbing and drainage plans for your property. (City Council plumbing and drainage department).
Is there a water or sewer main pipe running under your property?
Building over water or sewer main pipes is not allowed, but you can build a certain distance away from any main underground pipes.
Your local government building department will have a set of rules, how close your proposed new house or extension is allowed to be from underground pipes.
A new section of land could be impossible to build on, if a water or sewer main runs through the middle of the property.

💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 we only moved from one side of the country to the other (in Aust) and we decided to only take sentimental items or things that you can't replace and it cost so much I'm glad we sold of most of the stuff! I'd hate to think about moving countries!

Well, I had such a bad experience with a host from Airbnb in London that I am not going to use it again. Nice comments are not enough. In fact, very misleading ones. That was my lesson.

Brought our stuff over but also got rid of things before the big move. It was nice having familiar things around me after waiting 3 months without goods. Also got some help with basics while waiting. Almost all the things brought I no longer have from clothes to furniture and had been replaced after living here for many years.

My husband is a kiwi but we’ve been living in Canada for the last 14 years. We are planning to move to Napier with our four children later this year and this video was so helpful! Thank you!

@@AThousandWords I’m many years away from moving to New Zealand, as I am still in university. I assume I’ll need a couple of year’s work experience before I can apply for the skilled migrant visa. But I’ve recently discovered your videos and they’re making me so excited for the day to finally come.

We aren't looking O/S but we are looking at interstate (well across country) . We have since decided ideally to wait until our youngest finishes Secondary College amongst other things.
Tfs Lovely & take care 🌺

Great info passed on there, I 100% agree. I moved to NZ and shipped a 40ft container, moved back to the UK a few years later with just a suitcase. Now going back to NZ again (hopefully this year) so just starting to engage with shippers regarding prices. I think you nailed it when mentioning the stress factor of having to buy everything again.

I moved twice, it is indeed very stressful. I couldn't imagine it would be like that, because in my own country i had moved plenty of times. But it takes a lot from you, as everything changes and there is no point of safety (trying to say there's no place/thing that makes you feel restful). Even my partner at the time, in theory the most calmed down person ever, went bananas with the change. I wish people that want to move find this video, at least they will have a heads up about some things they could not have foreseen.

I’d love to hear about how you helped your sons adjust, and begin to look forward to a new home. Our boys (6 and 10) are in the “but we’re leaving everyone behind” stage, and I’m not sure how to gently move them on from there. Thanks!

Have talked about it in some of my videos. Show them what their new life will look like, school uniforms, streets and houses, tourist attractions, life in NZ - basically show them what they stand to gain or else all they can see is what they will lose. They might still protest but I promise you they will adjust quicker than you think once you've made the move.
