I think Ash might be using Grendel wrong. His rivet cannon is unwieldy which means its a double action to shoot. You have to give them the bulging biceps skill to mitigate this.
I think you played the bottle tests wrong. You test against the total number of crew members you had at the begining of the battle not remaining in play. Therefore, if your gang size is 10 at the begining of the scenario you would fail a bottle test on a 6 when you have 5 fighter seriously injured or out, on a 5 or 6 when you lose 6 fighters, and so on. Here is the text from the rulebook "To make a bottle test, the player rolls a D6 and adds the nunber of fighters in their gang who are either Seriously Injured or Out of Action. If the result is higher than the total number of fighters in their crew (the number who were present at the start of the scenario, plus any that have been added since), the gang bottles out

It will be half a free roam game and half a turn based strategy game. You make a character that will be the gang leader I think and can go around Necromunda doing various things but once you bump into an enemy gang then it turns into a turn based strategy.
Malev Da Shinobi yeah they released a statement a couple days ago saying that the game is back on track and we should see something at some point this year.
The rules for gas state "if the result is equal to or greater than the Target's toughness, or is a natural 6, make an injury roll for them (regardless of their wounds characteristic)- no save can be made."
I think "Gas Attack" sounds like a great name for your Esher gang. Alternatively it sounds like a fart joke. good to see you having loads of fun with this new game. The new terrain looks very nice and goes a long way to make the game feel like a wargame in a cramped level of a building rather than chess with painted models.
yep, my favourite and first I painted to complete. had a bit of luck with her too, lots of pinning and the two shots (with close range and aiming to negate the penalty for duel wielding) led to an OOA or 2. I think the respirator is just for looks.

Escher's 7+ cool is fucking shit, good lord. I hope that Enforcers come back, but good God. The running for anyone that ISN'T Goliath seems like it's almost an assured thing. You will run away immediately, visa vi, this game and the last. No lie, that's fucking rough. That's a massive disparity between the two.
Quite nice although I can see the beauty off simple Warcry even better now. Roll to hit, for ammo, to wound, to iujnre and tests upon that... With Warcry smootnness thsi game whould be awsome. Teh gangs have character and the setting is very very nice.
True... one thing I always enjoyed about Dark Eldar. The real problem is that Goliath are pretty straight forward and durable, Escher as a finesse army doesn't seem like a great starter set gang for GW to launch with. newer players may get too frustrated trying to play a finesse gang and give up. That is the real mistep IMO.
Flak armor does not provide any additional benefit against template weapons. Just blast markers, the two things are distinct from each other.

Power Weapon at 7:52 gets an additional damage damage and no save on hit rolls of 6. (Not trying to be a jerk, just hoping to help future games)

The Necromunda you remember is in the Gang War supplement, with a few rule tweaks.
The Necromunda game is being developed by the Mordheim team. It's going to be similar im thinking, I'm also excited.

Bottling seems to give a large advantage to House Goliath. Otherwise a really good game. Gas can be pretty brutal.
This is the first time I've seen a game that was at least close. Mostly it has been game after game of Escher getting face stomped.

Sadly the underdog bonus of drawing more tactic cards is missing from the scenarios in the Gang War book. It must be an oversight...

They require some finesse, but also Ash got lots of rules wrong that is giving his team an unfair advantage. Also - rolls. Ash is rolling well.
Also most their poison weapons don't give a shit about toughness ;)

Seems really unbalanced. If you can't make the roll to get all your actions any other advantages you have don't matter much.
