MGR did best to get truth - Shoba was murdered by balu - she was getting ready to go for award function - things got escalated - balu married shoba - and shoba came to agal vilakku shooting late due to her marriage - u can refer this statement in Chitra lakshman UA-cam channel with that producer shd be Tamil mani I guess . Either ways One popular Actor - who is close to Mgr and close to Balu (who got actor 1st national award ) mediated in crazy way and convinced mgr to go soft . Finally balu was saved . If u notice most of the tamil industry maintained distance with balu - except for that actor and music director . Rest of them maintained very professional distance . Balu build his career by doing English movie copies . That’s it. He is a glorified cinematographer but overrated director .
