First telecast that uses the black and white ABC Pro Bowlers Tour logos on the rack sweeps; they were gray and black during the prior telecasts that year. ;-)
Did you have the 1990 Kessler Open, by any chance? I can't my videotape of it. Also, maybe the 1978 Fair Lanes Open title match? Thank you and these shows have been awesome! Thank you for posting them all!
I don't call it "Unfairlanes" for nothing. The players realized that the corporation "Spared" every expense to give the PBA a playable shot--- sort of like the Peterson Classic in Chicago.
Bob Handley: 215 Charlie Tapp: 190 Mark Williams: 196 Bob Handley: 183 Mark Williams: 194 Henry Gonzalez: 180 Wayne Webb: 196 Mark Williams: 150 Webb Wins!
I'll never know how Henry Gonzalez ever made a show in his life He thru it absolutely terrible Its a shame Mark Williams beat Handley Webb vs Handley would have been a better match anybody would have beat Gonzalez You would think Williams was the tournament leader the way he bowled for the titlen ( Clueless )
Such good times. Thanks for sharing this broadcast. Used to love watching each Saturday.

The first, second, and semi final matches were exciting and very close
Mark Williams made the 2 4 8 10 split to win the second match
Wayne Webb was in control to win back to back titles in the fair lanes open
