I think music is such an emulsifier, it touches us deeper than any other stimulus. When things happen, and there's music attached, it etches into us. Becomes a memory that never leaves us, and anything around us stays attached to it. She knew that, it's why she preferred to sing sad songs, they stay with you, they become more than just a memory.

The 80s and 90s are the best
Well, on top of his personality and iconic status Johnny kept himself in shape and aged pretty darn well and had a tremendously deep and authoritative baritone voice that held the room.
I remember being home on my first winter break from college and I had to watch The Tonight Show before going out to a party. I recall that Ricky Nelson's plane went down and he passed on this day as well. Funny how certain things stay with you.
