I think it's super impressive what you did. It reminds me of the feelings I've had when pushing yourself past what you think you are capable of on a dirt bike. What's awesome when it's over is you put another notch in what you are capable of doing and then you have a little more confidence to push yourself a little further.
It's hard to understand how difficult that terrain is until you actually do it. I hope that you give yourself a lot of credit for what you have done. That stuff is serious nerve racking and tough. To have a partner like tim is awesome, what great support and encouragement. Rock on you two!

I did this route in 2022, and I can tell you, it was both my best, and worst day in Vietnam! The ride from Meo Vac to the Bamboo Ferry is absolutely spectacular! It is such a shame that it was so misty when you two did it, as the green hills, rocky outcrops, and deep valleys are simply stunning! I was also confused at the Bamboo Ferry turn-off... I kept thinking that there is no way that tiny little track is the right way to go! I kept going up and down the main road looking for another way - but nope, that is the track, this is the way you have to go...

If any difficulty comes at you in the future. You just say" this doesn't phase me! I've forged through the muddy roads of Vietnam and come out the other side!
That was an intense day of riding, way to get through it and even capture great video doing it!
