    Wonderful advice! Couple years ago I found that tip on end of season farmers market bargains. Last hour of the last big market there was a vendor that drove over the mtn ridge from the 'sunnier' side where they could grow better tomatoes etc. I asked him to give me 10-ish dollars of heirloom tomatoes, however many that would be. He went back to the van and ended up giving me 2 large plastic bags FULL of huge beautiful tomatoes that he didn't think he would sell and wasn't sure about the long drive back. I took them home, kept several for sandwiches and fresh eating then ended up canning 5-6 pints of diced tomatoes. Best 10 bucks ever, those were the best tasting diced tomatoes on my shelf.

    Local people with cows or horses often have mineral buckets they want to get rid of.. Usually they'll be very cheap or they just give them to you to get rid of them.. They are great for growing in..Thank you for the bread recipe 👍

    Instead of buying costly and sugary dry cereals, I make large batches of granola or baked oatmeal.

    Staci, are you using Azure Unifine bread flour for this bread or store bought bread flour?

    The pullman pan comes with a lid. Do you use it?

    • @TheFromScratchFarmhouse
      @TheFromScratchFarmhouse  2 роки тому +2

      I didn’t buy the version with the lid. You can select either from that link. For some recipes I wish I had it, but just for this basic loaf you don’t need it.

    THEEEEEE BREAD!!! 🤤 I am so scared to try making bread, I have no idea why! 😩Have you ever used/had a bread making machine?

    • @TheFromScratchFarmhouse
      @TheFromScratchFarmhouse  2 роки тому +1

      Bread is so easy! Don’t bother with a bread machine unless you work outside the home and can’t take the bread from rising to baking. I do have one and rarely use it.

      @@TheFromScratchFarmhouse Thanks for the reply! I don't see it. Maybe it's because I am on a computer and not a tablet or phone. Thanks anyway, I will figure it out.

      Yes, wheat is definitely harder to find right now. I’m glad I have a lot stored!
