I enjoy how your videos often start with a topic from the past video before transitioning to the topic for the new one. It's more of a narrative about your world rather than a dry instructional video narrowly focused on one topic. You do a wonderful job as a presenter and have truly inspired me to purchase and start playing this game.
I think my favorite thing about Modern style is it's just shapes thrown into a cup, shaken up, and dumped into one spot. Build is gorgeous btw, I'd Air BNB there for sure!

Light netherbrick works amazing for the look and sound of a roaring fire. Very nice setting for the start of the ski village. Iron bars might fit for the ski lift chains,
try changing the snow layers to slabs in the gold farm, the baby zombie pathfind glicht was patched in 1.14 and i think you will be able to full AFK in the farm

This is such a cool build! I saw a build similar to this on reddit though it had windows that stood outside of the house kind of and they were square instead of triangular which gave a really cool contrast to the sloping roofs. But you should totally build more modern day houses here. Maybe you can have this as a modern district and even build an "office" building and have villagers in there as office workers, lol. It would be a good place for cartographers maybe to live in and a modern university-style library for librarians etc.

That remark that you made about the villagers wandering into the nether portal got me thinking about a (Definitely not the most efficient) villager breeder design where you just have a large platform of farmland with a lot of beds and large ender portals all around the sides and maybe some scattered around the breeder, and the villagers will wander into the portals and get sent to a collection chamber in the nether, then the villagers will simply make more, I think it's cool because you don't have to make a long transport line for the villagers and they're already in the nether so if you need to move them far you can.
All that I can think of is that it doesn't fit everyones' play style. He can't be everything to everyone. But his channel has really taken off since he hit 100k.

I was thinking of what J T N was saying, I wander if there was a way to make a piston lift that can lift you up in a boat going up hill? & you row to each lift all the way to the top of the hill to row down hill on a path made of Ice like Leo was thinking of. IT be cool if it can work. Maybe you can try & see if you can come up with a way. I know you built this 14 months ago but its a thought. now on ti more of your videos.

I can't think of anything that would stop you from making an iron farm in the end. Just make sure that endermen can't get grief any important blocks I guess.

I was just thinking replacing the right side up stairs on the ourside of the roof with stairs made from something white, like diorite or quartz while keeping it wood underneath it'd look like there was snow on top of the roof.

Drag a couple of snow golems around to replace the the layers that were removed to quickly get the snow feel back
Would also recommend using snow layers to Mob-Proof the roof and other builds in the area.

Maybe make a REALLY modern house next? With piston doors, white and glass skyscraper type design? Even some villagers as staff?

Maybe use a 3x3 section of ignited netherack for the fireplace. That may give the roaring fire look that you're after.
Maybe some quartz ore as some meat on a spit in front as well.
