Soccer, football or golf are not competition, people who like sports just watch all of them. The thing is to make people interested in tennis, especially kids. I know that most tennis fans are young adults and adults, but kids are not into tennis cause they don't have a lot of places to practice, to learn and even to watch tennis matches. Im a huge tennis fan, always have been, but for example if you are from south america you are screwed (im from Chile), cause we dont have big events like in USA or Europe. On the other hand you have the chance to teach a lot of great values from tennis (especially discipline, devotion and desire to do well), but you kinda feel lonely trying to learn more about the sport you love. UA-cam does a great job and tennis tv too, it could be great to see some book recomendations or personal stories from the players themselves. Big hug!

    1. We need more ATP tournaments in other parts of the world, not just mostly Europe and US. 2. Make content more accessible and affordable. 3. Engage retired players/legends to promote the sport in different countries. 4. ATP players circles should include those ranked 200 and up. 5. Less hard courts. More grass.

In the U S most have cable that includes ESPN 1 & 2 and at least the Opens are shown on these channels and sometimes the 1/4 to finals are shown on NBC, or CBC, or ABC. Yes, the Tennis Channel cost an extra $40.00/month over the cost of cable and if have Tennis Channel many games of the Opens are shown on the Bally Sports Channels. Sometimes Channel 50 shows past great tennis games but one has to keep checking the Guide to find them and too often they are in the middle of the night. Be a tennis player it's much more difficult than it seems if you don't play... It's not possible that only the first 100 in the world ranking lives a beautiful life and for the others you have to play and also to teach tennis or doing other jobs only because it's not sustenaible for the costs.. I think, like every other field, only the athletes who has achieve most can help the sector to improve for the quality of the tournaments and for the safety of each player (mentally and physically)

I adore Rafa, but this is exactly the same argument he's been having with Rog since 2010-2012 when the two of them were part of the council. It's almost impossible to find a balance for points to be "saved" when players take a break without it directly harming lower ranked players. There were people who STILL had points from 2019 in 2022 after the covid freeze, and that only made it harder for those grinding for points to break even in the rankings. Idk, maybe I'm missing something out, but I've heard this from him one too many times I feel like
