Is it just me or do most actors from the south seem to have more emotional and intellectual depth than actors from Bollywood(especially starkids)? It seems as if they are more connected to their craft and also to their own native culture.
Yes it is, cuz in Bollywood i feel, it catches more limelight more attention from the public. In my opinion Bollywood star kids are acting just because of continuing the legacy, just like people says " ki doctor ka baccha to doctor banega" it leaves no other room for interest for other career choices. Some starkids are talented and some aren't, but they continue in cinema.
I just feel like that cuz in my family of doctors and engineers , i used to here things like what will you become doctor or engineers so I never thought of doing or pursuing other options and am stuck here to continue in medical line. I can feel the pressure kids face just because of their parent's occupation.

Well, for starters, southern stars are more educated. That's true of the general populace of the south compared to the north, so not an anamoly.
Also, the northie film stars are all in Mumbai, not in UP Bihar Rajasthan..etc where they come from. Because there is no decent film industry in the bimaru belt. B grade bhojpuri, yes. But not decent.
So, they are neither connected to their homeland, nor to their culture.
@Dav Parmar , The word you should use is humility, not conservative.South indian actors, like the average south indian, are humble. Northies lack that humility. They have a mouth disproportionate to their body size and bank balance.
I admit its a cultural thing. The show off and nautanki keeps decreasing as you keep going down south.
I’m based in Australia… went to look for shows this weekend. Prithviraj has been allocated one show, Major and Vikram, both have been allocated two shows each! Says something about cinema from the south! Always been a fan… glad the world is appreciating it too ❤️

@@twinklesharma5622 I will watch both - I'm just talking about what the big cinemas are backing and showing faith in. Earlier a movie from YRF would be packed for days.. they'd have more shows than just 1 per day... that's not the case now or can't be taken for granted.
I believe in Adivi Seshu's Screenplay, and his performance...
Major looks like an honest film. And how grounded is the lead actor.

@ani this movie was screened for NSG commandos.. After filming was done he got a call from them ang guess what he was presented a medal.. 26/11 NSG medal was, presented to his team by NSG commandos which is more than Oscar

Glad that Sesh mentioned Namrata Shirodkar's contribution by bringing Sony to invest in the film. Female voices are often overlooked and overshadowed by the achievements of their male counterparts and it's great that he mentioned her alongside her talented husband.
Even Mahesh Babu said that it's all her , she took the decision and she was more invested in it . Its only at the end he came on board for promotions etc. Namratha ma'am is the business mind and he is the face . Mahesh sir said it clearly in 1 or 2 interactions with press and the team he had .

Shesh is visibly showing change. He’s more poised now. It’s surprising to see how one man can bring such a difference in an other person’s life.
The real hero was and is Assistant Sub-Inspector Tukaram Omble of Mumbai Police. Who caught the Terrorist alive with smoking gun, this unprecedented Act of Bravery is not done by any Police or Army in the World. Every thing in front of it is pale. By whole hearted, I did a lot of publicity for this movie. I liked very much adavi shesh because he made a great movie in direction screenplay, music, dialougs, emotions, photography, etc etc. I did market this movie personally. Later I watched all his previous movies. Those also very nice.

Adivi Sesh comes from the legendary ADIVI family noted for its contribution to the Telugu literature and arts, his great grandfather Adivi Bapiraju was a legendary painter, poet and literary genius an all-time great in Telugu world, noted for his novels ranging from the historical to social themes. and Sesh's father is a highly qualified medical doctor in the USA for the past 45 years. but sesh carved his place out of his own perseverance and hardwork in hyderabad. glad thgat he is getting his due at the national level.

The last film I watched in cinemas was Oh Baby...!! After which no super star, or power star, or stylish star or any other self accredited star for that matter could draw me to the cinemas... I confined myself happily to OTT until "Major" happened...I certainly do not regret visiting the cinemas....!!
Sesh Sunny Chandra....please continue making films purely out of passion and love for the art....I know you won't succumb to the idea of "mass image" or "super stardom"....And you will eventually carve a niche that's bigger, better and farther...You can be sure of that...!!

Twinkle Sharma Pooja hegde is not from north if you are not aware of fyi and also , she got success in Telugu films only then Bollywood realized her craze…..films heroine centric will come in any language but can’t get those roles for everybody …..do you mind if Telugu films have north heroines why does it Matter, they are Indians that is enough. If you dont know there are other artists too different states and not fair skin as u said. Also, sai manjrekar’s dad did few films in the past in telugu also ,if u r not aware of it then know about it.
It is not only heroines but also Heros. It's started after 2010 glamourous actress were only given chance but ultimately acting skills are important in South movies. Actress like Anushka, Kajal, Samantha and Pooja Hegde are ruling industry for their skills.
Also in Telugu States people are very conservative and it is very hard for women to choose acting or modelling as career. So most heroines are from Banglore, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi etc but not Hyderabad.
