I casted Silence on a captured bandit (whom we needed to interrogate) and then proceeded to have an hour-long discussion with the Fighter on which instrument of torture could be used as kitchen utensils to prepare a Pizza (in which we both got very heated and were grabbing the torture tools and explaining how we would use them to slice tomatoes/prepare the dough/etc)
The Bandit could only SEE us arguing and had no clue about our silly discussion, by the time the spell was over her imagination made her fear us so much she sang like a canary.

My character was a bitter, drunken lycan due to a Faustian covenant he made rather than die. When the party found the skeletal remains of another member's father, he mocked his comrade's remorse because- from his perspective- he was lucky for being dead. My DM considered an alignment shift over this moment.

Arik Silvermane, my (soon-to-be) oathbreaker paladin, was having a very heated argument with Helm for the past ten or so sessions due to Helm having guided him his entire life yet not helping when he needed him most through extremely difficult and important character events, developments, and growth.
So, my party was venturing through the underdark to claim an important quest item related to one of our members’ backstories.
By this point, Arik had been put through the wringer with emotional damage, having died and spent 8 in-game hours in hell (his soul was sold by another party member to a demon to rid themselves of a lethal curse), which due to time dilation, was actually 80 years in hell of nonstop 360° constant combat. Don’t worry, the party member was forgiven and all is well.
Now you see, Arik had studied different bestiaries all his life and was an expert archaeologist, raised by a town of historians.
So when there was a horde of kobolds in our path, Arik suspected the worst. They all had weapons in their hands and were gathered in front of a dwarf settlement.
Now one might think simply avoiding them through a different path or investigating would have been the superior option, yes? Well, Arik in all of his built-up rage and anger cast ahead with the command “don’t move” on the horde of 100+ kobolds. Now, not knowing we were there and not knowing the spell was cast, they did not obey, and due to their default low health were instantly slaughtered by the spell’s base damage.
When the dwarves started to freak out as we came near, we discovered that the kobolds were actually completely innocent slaves holding simple mining equipment. Among them were dozens of children, and Helm appeared before me and projected their souls lingering above their bodies, horrified and distraught.
So he revoked my title of his champion, and stripped my magic away from me, and due to my pent up rage against him and trauma for being in hell for almost a century, I turned into a barbarian/fighter multiclass.
He never forgave himself for it, even though he knew he wasn’t in his right mind and hadn’t been for weeks.

As a GM, I designed a 10-floor dungeon with dangerous enemies and traps for a short campaign with a group of professional monster hunters and ruin explorers. But there was a big caveat. There was no loot.
The god to who the temple was dedicated held two major portfolios of divine authority. Greed and Generosity. This is important later on.
So when the temple was abandoned all the wealth was given out to the people. Not even the minions and bosses in the dungeon had any gear. Most monsters were oozes, ghosts, insects, and elementals. The only loot in the ruins was the stuff left behind by other adventurers. The final boss was located in a hidden treasury. The room was filled with chests, the party who played it cheered on sight. But when one of them tried to open a chest after looking for traps and noticing it was not locked, they got promptly swallowed by a giant mouth of nasty teeth.
And then all the other twenty chests in the room began to move and chomps at the adventurers. All of them mimics. There were only a few hundred gold coins and gemstones that other adventurers had left in the mimics while being digested.
The party spent more gold on their food than what they found in this massive empty husk of a dungeon. They declared that they would invade the divine realm of the God of Giving & Taking and began a personal crusade against all of their followers, temples, and shrines.
Most of those people were neutral and good-aligned. Most of those shrines and temples were established to help kleptomaniacs get past their bad habits and to give to the poor. The group did not realize this until they ended up with a 10.000 gold bounty after they burnt down the High Temple in the capital which also acted as a shelter for orphans to prevent them from becoming pickpockets. And that's how I made a group of goody-goody two-shoes adventurers commit mass murder on innocent believers.
Here's the thing. I did not plan this. But I let them do it because they did not bother to even investigate anything about the mostly peaceful religion. It wasn't even a secret. They had the lore for all the gods in the nation. I am far more lenient than I used to be and will offer advice to players if they seem to be making decisions that would break or twist their characters towards a direction they had not planned.
As a player, I once played as an orc barbarian in a one-shot I got invited to. The concept was simple. A group of veteran adventurers trying to solve a series of murders in the city. Every character was premade but we could edit some of their descriptions and alignments.
My character got insulted a lot and attacked a lot by the NPCs. But he never reacted. My character never openly reacted to insults, he even gave sombre advice to angry people just venting. You'd think he was either neutral or good aligned right? Nope. He was lawful evil.
After we cleared the murders and got given high status in the country and nation, my character took the list of names and told the ruler of the land of every insult he had been called by every individual who had treated him with racist disdain. But never mentioned who among the party had been the target of these abuses.
The ruler asked what my character would like to do with this and my character said. "These people have committed a great insult to the nobility of these lands, willing to assault even those working to stop a vile murderer. Their punishment should fit the crimes made of course, but the severity of treating a noble and hero like this is a grave matter best handled by the crown. But in my lands and my people, those who would cause such harm to nobility would be either exiled to sold to slavery."
The only reason this worked was that the GM had told us in some of our investigations that the king was a half-elf and had experienced a lot of bad treatment as a child and would punish anybody who committed such acts harshly, even fellow nobles.
The list was of around 230 people, of which 60 or so were of high nobility rank. These people never openly committed these acts but my character even allowed the royal court wizard to cast a spell on him to have him tell the truth. He did but managed to twist it so he never mentioned who was the specific person being targeted by the racism.
The party consisted of an elf, a half-elf, a gnome, a dwarf, and my half-orc. All the NPCs on the list were either humans or elves.
The GM asked me to roll a diplomacy roll, I rolled a 19+2, 14 charisma, and the king declared that those on the list of higher status would be stripped of their ranks in society and exiled from the lands. while those of lesser status would be sold to slavery and given to the party to serve them for 10 years.
Around 10% of the country's higher-ranking people, merchants, knights, lords, priests, and so on, got exiled for their racist demeanours. And we got over a hundred people as slaves for 10 years. My last note to the GM told him that my character would torture and kill each of these exiles and slaves until none of them remained since the law no longer protected them. Murdering over twenty times the people the mass murderer had killed in the capital.
That group never invited me again, think the GM got uncomfortable by what I did in retaliation for the racial slurs and insults my orc received. I didn't really mind those things, they fit the lore and the character. But I guess they just did not like the way I had my character retaliate. Understandable.

My arcane corrupted character was on one of the last ships out of the continent that was fleeing from speedy zombie incursion. Civilians were behind us still evacuating towards us. My character made the suggestion to the cleric to use their spell fire wall. He does so cutting off a lot of the zombies from catching up to the fleeing civilians. My character just says "Oh, i was thinking of something else. That works too." we have the cleric use all spell slots for food spells the next day as the ship did not have that much rations.

Then a few minutes later when I accidentally got a nest of scorpions after my I edited the coffin to allow the scorpions in an decided the scorpions into thinking it was me in the coffin. The guy survived for plot reasons, but yeah I had a maniacal laugh moment while thinking it up that made the DM say “Oh no.”

I was playing a Star Wars campaign and wanted to play a force sensitive mandalorian character with a little extra umph. In exchange she was HATED by the Force forcing me to roll on a homebrewed wild magic table whenever she tried to use the Force to see if it succeeded or had unintended consequences and, more importantly for this, she gained a "Dark Side Taint" whenever she used the Force. She could cleanse some of the taint by meditating during a rest and expending a hit die to remove that much taint. But if too much taint built up her alignment would shift from Lawful Evil to Chaotic Evil, that was fun to role play. She did a lot of increasingly evil things from tripping a snarky mechanic with the Force into a service bay where he broke cracked his skull and got a minor concussion but lived because he sassed her. To doubling back to the wealthy merchant's mansion whose kidnapped daughter we had just rescued, murdering the entire family and stealing all their credits and jewels because she felt they hadn't been paid enough. To selling the location of an under defended village of Twi'leks to a band of slavers because one of the village girls rebuffed her advances so that she could buy the girl from them later, btw my character was a Twi'lek. It culminated in what was supposed to be the final battle against the BBEG, too much taint had built up during the battle and at the end she ended up going insane. Conjuring a legends reborn Palpatine level Force Storm, destroying the entire system before escaping to be the BBEG in a future campaign.

The most evil thing was when my character exploited the collapse of a kingdom and ruined a noble family, just so he could steal a woman's heart.
In a pirates-of-neverland themed campaign, we had the first mate Smithers a.k.a. "Smee" (an illusionist and the brains of the operation) and Captain Cortez a.k.a "The Croc" (a dragon-blooded grappler with enough strength to rip men in twain and suplex single-masted ships). They were largely professional, being brutal killers and thieves in their own right but content to leave those who surrendered with their lives and the means to make it back to port.
Smithers was a portly but jolly fellow, but Cortez bore a curse because of his draconic ancestry that left him with a hideous Baraka-like grin and made him awaken in a berzerk state unless special conditions were met.
His draconic nature also meant he was eternally covetous. The campaign started with him and Smithers stealing a map to a hidden treasure on an inaccessible island. When they plundered the island and made it their hidden base, they began to rob so many ships that the coastal nations declared outright war against all pirates. With no trade ships to rob, ennui set in until the wife of a captured pirate captain came to him, begging for help in saving her husband from the noose in exchange for a treasure that could "make dreams come true" (a magic lamp, whose smoke could make illusions tangible). An elaborate body swap ensued, which led to the lovers reuniting, Smithers gaining an ever-growing army of nightmares... and the accidental destruction of an entire kingdom by "a vengeful spirit" because Cortez is a combat monster, and both of us forgot to pack his alarm clock in the coffin.
After Smithers recovered the bloody and half-naked Cortez from the rubble of what had once been a capitol city, Cortez realized as they sent the lovers off into the sunset that he had never experienced that kind of companionship. Women had either been disgusted by his beastly appearance, or terrified of his reputation. So, while capitolizing on the collapse of the kingdom by establishing business up the river of the neighboring region, he was surprised to find a woman who seemed utterly unphased by him; the sister of the duke, his prospective business partner, seemed wholly intent on stopping anyone from getting close to her brother in anything but the most obligate sense. The more Cortez tried to build a rapport with the Duke, the more bounty hunters and random assassins he had to fend off. Eventually Smithers uncovered that the sister was a degenerate bro-con, and had been manipulating the region from the shadows to raise his standing while also isolating him from potential brides and close associates.
Immediately, Cortez turned petty and malicious. He commissioned a steel-threaded suit that could handle his bulk and a diamond-crusted mask to cover his grin, joining noble society in the region as "the River Dragon merchant". Every chance he got he set up the Duke on dates while he ran interference on the sister, pulling her aside under the guise of courtship while undermining her efforts, yet thanks to his friendship with the duke continued to secure profits despite the expense.
Eventually, while riding in a carriage with her to keep her preoccupied, both Cortez and the duke's sister were attacked by assassins from rival nobility who had seen her weakening influence as an opportunity. When the Duke's sister revealed her summoning powers and conjured a demon, it killed the assassins but turned rogue. Cortez saved her, using his leathery hide to shield her from its attack and pinning it down until she could banish it.
As he laid on the ground exhausted, she pulled a dagger to his throat and sat on him, demanding to know why he was so intent on interfering, and why she shouldn't just kill Cortez here and now. Cortez revealed that all of the Duke's businesses were now reliant on services Cortez had provided and brokered. Cortez had already leaked rumors of her involvement in past misdeeds. By tomorrow, no-one in this nation would support or endorse her... Not even her brother. Cortez had already negotiated with the Duke for permission to take her hand, and tonight at the ball she could either accept his declaration, or fall into ruin. To add insult to injury, he revealed the gift he had brought on their outing: a gorgeous dress covered in crushed jewels that was worth more than a castle, but with an obvious choker and chain worked into the design.
Defeated and unable to refuse, the Duke's sister showed up to the ball arm-in-arm with Cortez. The two stole the spotlight at the dance despite the sister's depressed resignation. After the duke raised a toast to the assembled guests to praise their good fortune and prosperity thanks to his new friend, the River Dragon merchant finally dropped his mask and stole the lips of the princess. The face of a monster from the wanted posters, Captain Croc licked his nonexistent lips and gloated at having destoyed the neighboring kingdom, and claimed that the sister's past deeds were "actually" orchestrated by Cortez to isolate the duke and ruin the sister's reputation so he could claim her. Even the woman the duke had recently fallen for had been planted by Cortez. This sudden betrayal prompted the duke to demand a duel for his sister's honor while the sister stared in shock, unable to conjure due to the enchantment on the dress. Cortez hammed up the role, taunting and toying with the Duke until the latter scored a convincingly mortal wound. Making for the window, Cortez looked back at the sister with a glimmer in his eye, and said "don't think this is over. You'll always be the Croc's woman..." and fell to the moat below.
Thus the sister's reputation was saved and even improved, all of her evils attributed to the awful pirate king Cortez. Her brother became more affecionate, desperate not to lose his dear sister whom he had nearly given to a monster. In fact, because of the contracts most of the exploits from the neighboring kingdom would neatly fall into the siblings' lap now that the River Dragon Merchant was no longer involved. If anything, the dynamic had flipped; now the brother jealously guarded his sister, despite the numerous suitors who now sought her out.
Smithers eventually confirmed that, although the Duke's sister seemed to have settled into her new life, she had been "unable to remove the collar around her neck due to the curse". Cortez asked if that was part of the magic Smithers had put on it, but his first mate denied it with a smile. Cortez laughed and climbed to the head of his ship, staring out to the horizon and basking in the knowledge that he had indeed stolen something precious on his way out.
Now if only the church would stop sending Inquisitors after him. Maybe he should steal their faith, next.

Was playing a custom RP made by the GM, as a fierce Elvish warrior. In a previous session, we had overthrown a violent and oppressive tyrant ruler of a city, saving its inhabitants. The campaign then was supposed to end after that, with us going home to our lands. Happily ever after, right? We defeated the bad guy, saved the world, and got to walk away into the sunset, right? Wrong. Our GM was just as sadistic as I would become, and didn’t want the campaign to end that way. When we get home, we see our lands burned. Our friends and family killed or enslaved. Nothing left. It was revealed that the tyrant, as retribution for taking him out, had sent his dark forces to our hamlet to get revenge. Here’s where my evil comes in. My character was broken by this, as he knelt in the wreckage of his home, cradling the burnt and destroyed bodies of his sister, wife, and son, who had been waiting for him. My character then detached, and become emotionally distant and cold, grief and rage hidden behind a blank mask. I led my party to believe it was just a coping method, a way to ease the pain while I attempted to heal. I lied. (I want to clarify that I had privately warned the GM about what was coming and he was ok with it) My character then said that he felt like something bad was going to happen to the city of people we saved from the tyrant, and wanted to sneak in and check to make sure people were safe. My party believed him, and he stole away that night. He went to the city, but he didn’t do a check-up. He didn’t even look for evil. He loudly proclaimed in the streets that the people who had burned his family could either come out and face judgement or he would begin killing innocents (this only worked because of a minor suggestion the GM made when I asked him about this; that the killers were forced to kill our people because their own families were at risk). They came out, peacefully, and without conflict. My character bound them with magic and ropes, and then made them watch as he began slaughtering the entire city. He didn’t leave a single soul left alive, not the youngest baby, not the oldest grandmother. No one. He then set about burning the city and anyone else who had escaped his barbaric slaughter. The whole time, he made his captives follow him, watching. Weeping. Begging for him to stop, to have mercy. My character said this: “where was mercy when my family begged for it? Where was mercy when the innocents bled by your blades? Make no mistake, you will never get mercy again. Not in this realm, or the next.” After the city had been purged, razed to the ground, he didn’t kill his captives. Oh no. My character had something much more evil in mind. He then made a deal with a necromancer NPC, and promised eternal servitude under one condition: that my character and his victims were immortal, and if they died, to be resurrected by the necromancer, so that he may torture and torment them for all eternity. The necromancer agreed. The rest of my party found out what had really happened to me and my sanity, due to a perception nat 20, and went to the city to stop me. They arrived too late. The campaign now had a new villain: me. The part attempted to stop me, but as I was basically immortal, it was too late. They fought valiantly and with great sorrow and ferocity, but in the end, they all fell. It took them many deaths, many attempts and resurrections to try and stop me, but their lives were finite. Mine was not. The campaign ended with me sitting in the fortress of the old tyrant, laughing, as the last member of my party breathed their last breath, and died. For reals that time. The campaign finally, after nearly a year of us playing for hours almost every day, with the villains victory. I was given a 6 month long timeout from the group. I missed some real great campaigns, but at least I got to spectate them. I’m still sorry it ended like that, especially since my party was in the dark about it, but a small part of me enjoyed it.

Literally last session. Evil campaign, I'm a thri-kreen looking for a cure to death (and a form of mental degradation my DM made up).
I have one level of Genie Warlock, and my DM gave my character special cages that can hold a tiny creature and let me bring them into my lamp with me.
Anyway, the last creature we fought was a medium creature (humanoid, we didn't kill them, we had questions to ask), but it was brought up that small creatures cam squeeze into a tiny creature's space.
Not helpful, because this enemy is Medium. Unless one were to... make them smaller, as it was...

My DM slipped in a little extra dialogue with the captain of the smugglers ship saying if we kill them then the pirate captain that I had put in my back story that had killed my previous crew and sunk my long time friends ship would then come after us. I was playing as Chaotic Good alignment but decided it was well within my characters personality to have a secret dark side when it came to smugglers and pirates so I took my Warhammer and broke both of his hands and feet before grappling him and jumping overboard holding him underwater until he drowned. A Friend of mine can do Evil surprisingly (one might say Disturbingly) well without even trying...the best one he told me about (that I can remember) was a Vampire the Masquerade game where he was playing a Vampire (that wasn't part of the Camarilla) that easily Blood Bound an ENTIRE TOWN to himself by contaminating the Sacramental Wine in the local Church and Beer Casks in the Tavern with his own blood...
Those that didn't get Blood Bound during Sunday Morning Communion got Blood Bound later that night when drinking in the Tavern...
I never found out what he intended to do with an entire Town Blood Bound to himself as the game fell apart a session or 2 later (not because of what he did, it was because of Player Dramas among the rest of the Group)...

I conquered a continent by a seemingly reckless 3 year(in game) stretch of lying, slandering, manipulative disinformation and triple crossings. By the time everyone else caught on to the fact that the new Lord cleaning up my messes & restoring order was actually just me with a moustache and glasses I couldn't stop laughing for a good 2 minutes. By this point my legions of loyal followers had formed cults of personality all independently of me or each other that I happily patronized of course. I did rule over my lands with an iron fist & established a straight up dictatorship after making my self immortal with eternal youth through a blood sacrifice of all the previous lords and noble houses of my land to Asmodeus. And the best part was I never negatively effected the party & genuinely helped almost everyone in my territory live exponentially better lives(even the few nobles who escaped my butchering and sacrifice) so the party and DM couldn't even make me the BBEG. The truly selfish know that by helping others and building networks that rely on you, you'll always be defended and taken care of by those smart enough to understand how much their stand to lose without you. Plus having won a bet with the godking of hell really helps with talking people into things.

Not D&D, but Star Wars; my jawa mechanic's go-to strategy for infiltrating space installations was to hack into the network and shut off life support. Fun? Absolutely not. Effective? Yes. Despite having no combat skills, this technique gave him the most kills in the party by the end of the campaign. Thankfully, the positive influence of the party and a Force-awakening nightmare started turning him to the light side. Instead of using his powers to kill, he used his mechanical and computer knowledge to mask his digital presence while using the Force to mask his physical presence. It still didn't allow anyone else to rack up nearly as many kills as he had, but he gave them a good chance at doing so.

Not exactly evil but my lawful good eldritch knight accidentally robbed someone. A guy was frantically claiming treasure from there base before making a run for it and I thought he had something we were looking for. I yell at him to drop it and he yells no its mine. Before making a run for it and I cast create bonfire on him to stop him. He yells, I don't even care anymore take it and throws his treasure at me before running away in terror. I look at his treasure and realize it wasn't what I was looking for. The dm was laughing his head off when I realized what I had done.

    This one never gets old....
Years ago like first edition D&D I hated having to deal with maps because players are lazy and why not exploit them bu offering a dungeon that needs no map? Welcome to Hell. Not literal Hell but the conjurings of some high level illusionist mad man who managrd to rip between dimensions with spells like dimension door, permanence, tempus fugit, and something about a bag of holding with a staircase?
No door led to the same place twice which as my math would work out at random yet oddly predetermined destunations. Death? Oh my sweet summer child.... OBLIVION!!!!
And it was always that same room where four hallways turned into a Escher mindmelter. Imagine, if you will, opening a doorway yo a long hall ending in another doorway which appears to arrive behind in you in the room. By the time the party gets to this room they have adopted the habit of opening all the doors they encounter to see which one was best.... you get the picture... just a weird mirrorverse. Inevitably one person in the party gets lost in the hall because everyone else thought it would be funny if the closed the doors on them.....
Please hand me your character sheet.... no saves....

First campaign I ran was LMOP with student players. (I was the teacher and DM) I took some weird twists and at one point secretly gave one of the players a chance to join the Zhen. For the rest of the campaign they worked to find the treasure. At the end, the group found they'd been poisoned and couldn't regain hit points right after the last battle. That's when the Zhen showed up and the player turned on the group and slaughtered them all. While this sounds terrible to do to students, 1. They loved it as a twist. 2. We had just had some turnover and most the players were finishing the game with characters they hadn't created and wanted to make their own. It taught them to always expect unexpected things.

My Half-Elf Wizard was old and crotchety, annoyed with the kids and their Invasiveness. He mostly wanted to remain by himself and sleep, but had to be dragged around to help an old friend in the courts of the Kingdom. While i want to say lighting the party Paladin on fire for waking up my Wizard from sleeping due to his sleep piano playing (it was quite good, but my character didn't care enough), the best part came when we were in a Dungeon and ran into a Birdman Monk(early 5e days, homebrewed something). He helped fight our way through a hoard of demons, making my Wizard have to work less. Mumbling a thanks, he decided to lighten his load a little and offer one of the bottles of alcohol he'd found while adventuring around down in this dungeon, a bottle of some of the finest Whiskey he'd ever had. The Birdman happily drank, but didn't seem to care when my Wizard said once that was enough. So quickly, he decided roasted chicken was on the menu. Placing his hand on the back of the bottle, he casted Firebolt while the Birdman was actively drinking. Internal Fire damage, my Wizard cooked in from the inside out with a Critical Hit, Max Damage for my efforts. The party hated the smell, all but the Dragonborn Paladin and my Wizard who enjoyed some Firebolt Whiskey Chicken

I was so tierd of my DM always getting a enemy with super high perception blocking our stealth plans every time, so this time my char was passing through some changes and we were doing some rescue mission. Moving on... We got close to the hostages by fighting through the enemies since they spot us as always, So the leader said ''Drop your weapons and stop fighting or we will kill the hostages'', so i said something that forever changed the tone of the campain, ''This isin't a rescue, it's a massacre''.
In my defense, the hostages were non important peaple and we were tracking down a cult, so we stumbled on this mercenaries that were providing weapons for they, and for some reason why, they had hostages on their hideout...

I played a game where one of my friends Dmed and the whole party had just gotten back from a large ass death trap. We then as a prize for surviving got a free whatever you want blue print. Those were extremely hard to find and even more worth when you had the right one. One of the others got it and my character recently lost an arm. So I did the only possible smart thing. COMMAND repeat. The dude fails his save and the Dm ask me to roll a second d30 for no reason and then afterwards says the blue print became what I wanted it to become. Worst part is I switched charcters after that session so the blue print wasn’t even worth anything to the party any more. Command is an amazing spell and really interesting cause you can rack your brain.

The most evil thing I have done is sudgest a method of intimidating a person.
So. 1st session we travel through a dark ally where some bandits and a skeleton that were about to try and ambush us... defeat and kill all but one (who I put to sleep) and tied them up for interrogation for finding a place.
The fighter rolled a nat 20 and out of game was asked how they would like to do it.
Them being a bit newer didn't quite have an idea so I gave a suggestion...
"Smash the skeleton skull into the wall next to him"
Granted we didn't do this as in game non of us are evil aligned... but with the reaction that came from it it might become that way soon enough.

The party were tasked to get into a party hosted by warforged running for mayor, with the goal of collecting information on him. Part of the quest was to get a hold of an invitation, and given that the invitation allowed a plus 1, we only needed 2. While the rogue collected his pass by forging it, I was given the opportunity when a drunk drow with an invitation made pass at my dragonborn oathbreaker paladin/warlock. I “accepted” his invitation, and then killed him when we went off to “do the dead,” stole the pass, and sacrificed his heart to my patron.
I then got into the warforged mayor’s inner circle by playing into my character’s tragic backstory and his emotions (as my dragonborn was turned into a dhampir through a super soldier-esq experiment, and got along better with automatons and other “weapons of war”). This slowly built into a relationship, with my character considering to betray the party for her someone she saw as kin. Sadly the campaign fizzle out right after the break up (he entered a deal with the man who turned her into a dhampir), but she did steal a +3 greatsword from him.

The most evil thing I've ever done in a game was also fully unintentional. The party and me were fleeing a city burning down, and being a teenager IRL, I played a goody-two-shoes Paladin. So what does a guy like that do, when the city is burning? He helps! So I started banging on doors, yelling "FIRE!". An elderly man hears the ruckus, opens the door and sees me. I run up to him, tell him that the city is burning and he MUST flee. The old man refuses. My character (and me back then) not understanding one bit of this, get heated and I try to convince him. It devolves into an argument, and I decide to do the Paladin-Nuclear-Option: Knock the man out, and drag him out of the city - me thinking it being the lesser of two evils, so to speak. DM sees this, intentions be damned, and has me roll to hit. I roll a 20. The poor old man goes down, dead. We all panic, and flee. City burns down, my crime turned to ashes.
Can't remember what happened afterwards in that campaign, but that moment always stuck with me, 20+ years later. Don't be hasty, remain calm, do not use force on the unwilling - no matter how good your intentions. Like, this could easily be the very first step of a well fleshed-out Oathbreaker Paladin. Good intentions, bad actions and so on.

I don't have any Evil moments from AD&D (all my Characters tend to be either CN or CG). My only really Evil moments came from 3rd Ed Shadowrun and CyberGeneration (a sequel to Cyberpunk 2020)...
My favorite Shadowrun Character is a Human Mage that is Psychotically Sociopathic (the ONLY people he will NOT hurt or kill are his Friends, Family and current Team mates, everyone else had best not anger him...and he has an EXTREMELY short fuse with Anger Control issues)...he's also his Team's Interrogator...he Interrogates someone by stunning them into unconciousness with a spell, then after moving them to his Lair, he strips them and ties them to a steel chair bolted to the floor of a nearly empty concrete room...other than the chair, door and light, the only other things in the room are a drain in the floor and a water hose coiled on the wall...he walks in dressed head to toe in a chemical warfare suit carrying a string trimmer (weed whacker) with a larger than normal motor on it...he casts 4 spells on you, then says "You have information we want, [starts weed whacker] Pick a toe...the nylon string has been replaced with the thinnest piano wire made and he uses it to basically slice a wire diameter of flesh off the end of one toe, ask the question he wants answered and if you don't answer or swear/threaten him, he'll slice another wire diameter of flesh from that same toe...wash, rinse, repeat until either you answer his questions honestly or run out of toe to slice at which point he moves to the next toe and continues...Oh, and those spells he cast? 1 stops you from going into shock from pain or die from blood loss (it auto cauterizes the wounds); 1 stops you from falling unconscious or retreating into catatonia to escape the pain; 1 tells him if you are telling the Truth or not and the last is his personal favorite...it amplifies the pain 10 times so a mere paper cut feels like getting shot...
My CyberGen character had help with his Evil (assuming what we did was Evil)...he and the rest of the Party blew up a 6 square block Abandoned Industrial Complex of a major city and killed nearly a Division of Federal Law Enforcement and Military Troops that were hunting us...we used Cyber Evolutions: Bolter (turns you into a walking TASER that can fire electrified wires AROUND obstacles before zapping the target) and Alchemist (allows you to play with matter like it was LEGOS (take hydrogen and oxygen from the air to make water for example; it's limited by 3 Rules: You can't change one chemical element into another so no turning lead into gold; You can't affect living tissue; and you can only make things if you know how they work or have a working model to copy so if you don't know how a pocket watch works, you can't make one)...we got our hands on a High Explosive Grenade by raiding an Armory (so now we know how to make C4 and Detonators) and we basically went to town filling every cavity in the walls, floor and ceilings (that we also made) with C4 and suckered the Division hunting us (we were MASSIVE thorns in the Corrupt, Autocratic Government's side) into the heart of the Industrial Complex and the Bolter TASED the wire leading to the detonator...one Earth Shattering KABOOM later and the Complex is now a burning rubble filled hole in the ground...we didn't survive but neither did more than a thousand Government Troops either...
Note: we knew we were never getting out of that Campaign alive regardless as we'd become too High Profile and had FAR too much of the Government Agencies hunting us...our Characters were Teenagers that had everyone from the Military to the CIA, FBI, NSA and State Police after our heads...we knew we were Dead Teens Walking so we chose how we were leaving that rotten world...by taking as many of the Bastards as we could with us!

I've never actually played an evil character. Actually that's not quite true, I've played a couple of evil characters, but meta gaming players playing good aligned characters would always attack me out of nowhere "because you're evil" (which they have no way of knowing). So I never get very far.
Anyway, in the last campaign I played in, I was playing a neutral character, (3rd level rogue, 8th level sorcerer) who was a replacement for my previous character (a LN 6th level Two Weapon Warrior). The campaign setting was a homebrew world with different rules for Resurrection magic. Mainly, the spell requires a trading of lives. In order to resurrect a person, you must sacrifice a person of equal value. I came up with a plan for my rogue/sorcerer to acquire a sacrifice of sufficient value. My two weapon warrior was a nobleman, so my rogue/sorcerer was going to get herself invited to a high society ball. She would then target a high ranking fighter from the enemy nation of my two weapon warrior. Using a combination of her feminine wiles, and her rogue skills to slip a drug/aphrodisiac into his drink, she would seduce him and lure him away with promises of erotic adventures. Which she would make good on. However her nail polish is mixed with concentrated ogre spider venom, so when she claws his back during nookie he suffers from the venom. Add to that she gets the party's cleric to cast Contagion on her, specifically the fantasy STD Whore's Delight, which causes her genitalia to secrete a paralyzing toxin. Between the venom and the STD, the rival nobleman is almost guaranteed to be paralyzed. Once he is, use him to cast Resurrection to bring back my Two Weapon Warrior.
When I told my DM about my plan, he warned me that I'd be risking my rogue/sorcerer switching from true Neutral to Neutral Evil.
Unfortunately I never got the chance to try my plan. The DM moved away before I could implement the plan, and our new DM quit shortly after that. The group broke up a new I've lost touch with most of them.

I played a campaign where we were imps who collect souls and would "evolve" to stronger demons.
My evil deed was that we had orders to help complete a ritual involving sacrifices. Needed a lot of bodies. I went full evil and went to an orphanage and poisoned the soup with a black powder that essentially zombified people. They all ate the food, and people started dying, then coming back as zombies, and started slaughtering each other to complete the ritual.

I was playing in a group where one of the other players kept targeting me. I would ask to attempt to pocket an item after combat. "Did I notice that?!" She would immediately call out, even though her character was in the next room. So, I asked the DM if I could switch characters after the session in private. She agreed. Since I DM my own games, I created a character to out metagame the toxic player. My previous character died horribly by tripping an acid trap and my new character was introduced. "Bruno" was the alias of my channeling assassin rogue/Patron of the Far One Warlock. Bruno always stayed in the same human form from when the party met "him". The toxic player was looking at my DnD Beyond character sheet and demanding to know why I want telling the truth about my character. The DM stepped in and stated that information on my character sheet was between me and the DM. The toxic player kept trying to metagame the information. As the session went on, we rescued a gnome healer, because no one was a healer in the game. Bruno had a herbalism kit and was proficient in medicine, but nothing substantial. The toxic player would do reckless actions and the NPC healer would waste all healing spells healing her. So, I was getting tired of the player so, I started passing secret notes to the DM to help the situation. The original goal was to annoy the player with inconveniences. I shapeshifted to look like her and visited a ban of orcs with a poisoned bottle of wine as a gift for the leader. The next morning, they remaining piece came to attach her. She nearly won that fight. Ultimately, I upped my game after she wasn't getting the picture. I poisoned the NPC healer and slipped a sleeping potion to everyone else. They wake up, the DM is everyone roll your character's constitution check. The toxic player tries to call the NPCs success, but the DM quickly shuts that down. The NPC was deader that dead. My character also destroyed all of the bridges on the way out. One of the characters had flying, so it didn't tap them, but it did slow them down.

The most evil thing one of my characters ever did was torture a little girl to death, then heal her so he could continue torturing her (Then repeated the process...). It was an evil campaign and it was very difficult to roleplay a moment like that, I felt uncomfortable doing it, but it was an interesting experience at the same time. That said, I don't think I'll ever roleplay a character like that again, the campaign lent itself to moments like that and everyone at the table knew we should roleplay those kinds of uncomfortable moments because we were warned from the beginning that it would be a campaign with a lot of sensitive themes.

I played a warlock who couldn't care less about other's well-being. The game he was in did not last long, but if it lasted longer, there would be a lot more examples to give.
First, he used misty step to break into the room of someone who clearly traumatized after an ambush by some dangerous bandits. He brought out his weapon and intimidated the traumatized man so hard just to get the needed information he wet himself.
Next, he tried to get transportation and tried to haggle with a seller. When the seller did not give him the price he wanted, he said this threatenly, "8 gold, and you get to keep the leg." The original amount was 10 gold. Yes, he was willing to break someone's leg over 2 gold.
Then, he let a dangerous bandit go close to a town full of innocent people to find his boss. Was there a bargain in place where he allowed him to run free for this information? No, he didn't need the criminal anymore and just let him go, not caring about what he would do to innocent people.
Finally, there was the time we had to collect a bounty on a specific target. During the fight with the target, one of the party members and the target were knocked out. I kid you not, he walked over the party member to see if the target was still alive.

    Two things come to mind.
1 - our assassin was a skilled woodworker. Carried loads of poison spoons to just leave around taverns and homes for no reason. And for assassinations, of course
2 - my 3e blackguard struck a deal with a local barbarian tribe to help take a small village that my group intended to use as a home base and as an alibi for our evil deeds in the kingdom. After all, our people trusted and loved us. Spent about 3 days getting the trust of the town to find the person poisoning the populace (see spoons above) and befriended the leaders of the village. When the barbarians arrived, I got all the leadership to hide in the local church while we gathered the local militia to fight the barbarians. Boarded the church doors and windows up “for protection” and then lit the church on fire while the barbarians killed the militia, sacked the village, and left us to take over

The most evil thing I’ve done … we played a 4 session campaign with evil characters.
My character (reborn necromancer) pretended to save a child while the rest of the party slaughtered through the farmhouse and the child’s family. (We planned on making the farmhouse our base of operations to take over the nearby city) So my character and the boy waited patiently in silence for the noise of massacre to end in the nearby barn. My char told the party via sending to gtfo for they had their fun and now it was her turn to get at it. Slowly she and the child made their way to the house to a not very pleasant image for the child. My character covered the child’s eyes and asked if she should bring the family back to life. Of course the child agreed and one „animate dead“ later it was family dinner time.
Yeah, I don’t know either … as a forever DM you have to come up with fucked up shit for the bbeg’s to do. You get the point. I was afraid of myself after revisiting the session later that day. 😅

The evilest thing my Paladin has done
During the siege of a small town my group was helping to protect my Paladin was on the walls valiantly commanding the forces on the walls while my other companions pushed out to fight the undead beholder.
Once the battle got to a very big climax, my angel (techincally enslaved angel) gave me the power to shoot a huge bolt of holy power to which I 1 shot the undead beholders eye but it still continued to move so he retaliated by launching a catapult shot at me.
I fell off the walls and heard noise in the sewers I went in to find enemies that ( at the time am oath breaker ) frightened all the enemies and gave chase.
Once I arrived at the hidden camp outside the sewers I proceeded to slaughter all the undead and found a cage, the cage had a wounded goblin child begging for help.
My Paladin having a severe hatred of goblins did the only reasonable thing to do… I put down the goblin blaming it for my tragic backstory ( it wasn’t the right goblin obviously but I have int of 9 ) my angel left me soon after and then a demon of vengeance found me and possessed me offering strength, now my vengeance burning ever brighter my Paladin continues his glorious and holy crusade to eradicate all kobalds and goblins in the world

Evil thing I've done in a game? Vampire the Masquerade... I'm a Malkavian with a Gangrel, Brujah, Toreador, Settite and Tzimisce. We were tasked with finding who was recruiting Werewolves against the Camarilla and how they were doing it, since we had already found out Vampires were behind it. We were out in the woods following a strong lead, our Brujah and Gangrel were on a trail of a Werewolf and we found and dispatched it and the 2 with it. We didn't realize how long it had been and how far we were from safety, sunrise was inbound. I decide to see if there was a chance farmhouse nearby... DM says yes, yay!. Knowing we couldn't risk a shootout with an armed farmer with sun just at the horizon, I had to use my social skills. The Tzimisce turned into a young girl while my Malkavian looked like a man of note. I told the farmer we were jumped by some vagabonds in the woods and we needed a place to rest we'd been on foot all night. Farmer obliges (I was proud of myself on this, apparently I worded it well enough the DM looked at me and said "you don't even have to roll for that, you convinced me and I know you're bullshitting") As we're let in, the party had flanked the house out of sight, just as we get in, I draw sword and spin around hitting the farmer knocking him down, the Tzimisce rushes the farmer's wife who was going for the other long gun, the party rushes in and we feed freely, murdered the whole lot and had a roof from the sun for the day. With the last blood point in the farmer, the DM allowed me to write GOD WAS HERE on the wall in the man's blood. We found out later the prince was less than thrilled by what we did and was happy to scold the hell out of us for our... messy behaviors

While the character wasn't evil (chaotic neutral, infact), in a homebrew pathfinder campaign I played a horrifically scarred and very.... damaged elf known only as "Zero-One" who was essentially the "beta test" of a series of surgeries, magical infusions and chemical treatments that were intended to make regular elves into magic-infused supersoldiers by the tyrannical old elven empire (the "magus" class in this setting since nobody else played one was written to basically be the result of this surgery). She was normally very goofy, like a big dumb dog in an elf body, because she spent most of her life locked up in a cell and didn't know what anything was.
One day, we have a bossfight with the lead scientist who made her this way. The woman who had killed her mother, erased her and her sister's memories and essentially their IDENTITY... and the boss was still alive at the end. Our party of good characters hate her but seem to accept her surrender... until my character walks up and takes her hand, helping her back to her feet... and then biting into her face. She suddenly was like a feral animal, removing her face and then starting to eat her alive while she screamed and pleaded for help. The party was TOO AFRAID TO GET CLOSE. Every time they tried, she'd look over her shoulder at them and growl like a dog guarding a bone. Someone described it like that scene in Evangelion where Unit-01 is eating the angel.
Tl;Dr : My usually sweet and goofy experiment elf went berserk when seeing her "main villain" and literally started eating her alive.

Wasnt an evil campaign but once convinced my super nice, super peaceful druid that that a cyclops was keeping a giant bee captive and she gave me permission to basically push him off a cliff then bury him in giant rocks fyi i as a player knew full well he was a beekeeper looking for love... But my character saw someone bigger than him and didnt love that idea. But i got a cool hat!
Also wrote a campaign where one of the PCs was secretly the bbeg and the person i chose for the bbeg said that i was a bad friend and he couldn't wait to play.... What have i done😨

In the way of the wicked campaign, I sacrificed 1,000 innocent people, the most devout followers of Mitra on an altar to Asmodeus and made an insane Knowledge Religion check to get basically a wish from Asmodeus where I wished that the iron from the blood of the sacrificed would form into a blade imbued with the evil power of Asmodeus. I then used that blade to wipe out every last remnant of the weak Mitran faith.

I wanna play this again. So far I only got 3 kinda evil but more just being a dick moments. I had a barbarian that took food from orphans then challenged them to a fist fight to get it back. Also I didn't like being a barbarian so I asked the bard player and dm to kill him off and now the trauma of turning my character into a t-rex to eat a giant cordicypes mushroom and setting him on fire stuck with the bard and the player loved it! Now I'm an artificer that does unethical and sometimes stupid experiments to see what happens and journals it but I only got to be them once and that was 6 months ago. I'm still curious what happened to the drake I tricked into eating a green slime.

So this wasn't in DND but I made my character suffer
It was in Stardew valley, and I decided to grow coffee beans
I decided to just see what will happen if you did nothing but coffee beans
    So I planted....
    And planted.....
    And planted.....
I had almost 3000 coffee plants planted took me a whole day to plant it all on day one of spring
For the entire spring and summer all I did was water and harvested coffee plants daily, no sprinklers, no rain totems, just blind luck of rain and watering can if no rain (the can was upgraded for a huge watering mode so it can water about 18ish plants per pour)
I had to build many chests to gather all the coffee beans and still I watered and harvested
From spring to summer I harvested and watered no jumino camps to help no automated sprinklers nothing but sheer will and determination
Did it 2 in game years in a row
Then I made triple shot espresso after the 2nd run around (took 4 in game years as I only had 1 warehouse of kegs to turn them into coffee before espressos, I'm not a meta gamer I'm a strange gamer)
My character suffered because it would had driven anyone insane, but in the end he walked away with almost 3 million gold from it all (probably more or less I'm not sure it's been awhile since I was on Stardew valley)
The only evil thing was.... I knew and had materials for the sprinklers, I could had made rain totems, and I could had made jumino camps for helpful harvests.....
I just did it on my own from start to finish because I wanted to push myself... I was evil to myself because I made my own suffering
Since then I focused on variety harvests and smaller harvest works, even got fish ponds (my grandparents have a koi pond so the nostalgia of fish ponds was appealing to me) so I can remind myself there's many things you can do in the game, don't settle on one thing, let yourself grow

I almost killed an innocent kid back in 3.5
Our DM had a habit of punishing players for their choices, no matter which choice you made. Dragon is flying towards your group? Wake the group? Well now the dragon definitely knows you're there and might have flown by had you not wake the party. Left cause the baby dragon said so? You just abandoned your friends to be caught by surprise by the dragon. You spare an enemy begging for mercy, he shoots you in the back. You kill him after that? You're a murderer!
So we as players at this point are basically told to never hold back and nothing you do will be right. So we beat a boss battle the DM blatantly cheated with, and the boss' son comes, he's probably 8. My hardcoded bullshit meter suggested the kid WILL be a problem, so I prepared to baptize him in fire. The DM was genuinely mortified that killing the child was my first, immediate response. I argued that I know what was gonna happen. This kid was either a suicide bomber, or going to pop up later for revenge with dragons cause dragon slavery was a focus in the campaign.
I think the DM had a "What have I done!?" Moment and asked if that was what everyone really thought, everyone said yes.
The DM basically groomed/corrupted out party to become paranoid psychopaths that attack first, bitch about it later.

Not necessarily evil, but definitely sinister. My Oath of Vengeance Paladin, pledged to Tempus, was sent to hell at the request of his god. Tempus wanted him to take the fight directly to a Devil Monarch of Greed since they were messing with battles that Tempus was involved in. This was the backstory for why my character left the party while I took a 8 month hiatus due to scheduling differences. Stars aligned, and I was able to get back into the campaign. The party had fallen into a portal to hell when they destroyed the floor of a church, they suspected the church was a front for cult activity. They make landfall in hell, and end up running into Bart Quincy, my Paladin. He comes up with a scheme to get the party out of hell, since he can definitely kill more demons and devils with the party than he can solo.
While walking through the fiery hellscape, Bart discloses everything he's been up to, lists all the fiends he's killed down here. The party gets ambushed by a band of 10 Quazits. Two of them go down on Bart's turn, two more go down on our Barbarian's turn, and the Quazits surround Bart. While this is happening, two gilded devils attempt to sneak up on the fight to join in but get spotted. Turn order plays out and gets back to Bart, who takes out a platinum piece from his pocket and declares to the Quazits - "A Platinum piece to whichever of you kills those gilded devils". Quazits turn around and b-line it at the devils, they try their best but they get obliterated. All but one.
Party got affectionate over the sole survivor, called him Greg. Party gets in on the fight, and we kill the first Gilded Devil. Bart taunts the remaining one and it loses its mind, roaring out loudly.... Which attracts more Quazits to the fight. The devil immediately polymorphs itself into a giant gorilla with bat wings. This gets immediately counter spelled. The Quazits jump in again and tear into this thing. Bart last hits the devil, decapitating it. Quazits surround Bart once more, now looking for payment... Greg is still alive of course.
Bart reaches into his pocket, pulling out three platinum pieces and declares - "Three platinum pieces to the last Quazit standing". What happened next was sheer carnage. They start tearing each other apart. Greg is rolling like he doesn't know anything other than Nat 20's. The party boosts its AC with spells because they want him to live, and he does, he's the last one standing, again. Greg is before Bart, once more, expecting payment. Bart reaches into his pocket, pulling out and throwing 3 copper pieces onto the ground directly behind Greg. As the lil Quazit guy turns and bends down to pick it up, Bart rolls a nat 20 and stabs him in the back of the head. Clean hit, Greg probably didn't even realize he died.

So, my sweet, beautiful Dragonborn Barbarian, Salamandastron, was the father apparent of Rexus, the Cutest Little Kobold That Ever Was! Rexus was a much-loved member of the party, and an established sneak-thief.
During an expedition to an Underground Vampire Stronghold, another PC, an Elven Sorcerer, encouraged Rexus to do a sweep of the area, check for the number of enemies, etc. Rexus was being played by the DM, and did the sweep. Unfortunately, the dice were not friendly that session, and the 'Cutest Little Kobold That Ever Was' was slain.
The DM ended the session there. The following session, we had a go at infiltrating the stronghold, and did so successfully. We took out a few Vampires, but were ultimately forced back to the surface, unable to retrieve the body of Rexus. That ended this next session.
Out of game, I spoke with the Elven Sorcerer, and said that Sal would be devastated and emotional, in the form of unbridled fury. I asked if they would be interested in a conflict between the two, because it was their character's encouragement that led Rexus to go out and search. Sal urged caution. Sorcerer said yes, they'd be interested, and I mentioned the idea of rolling for a breath weapon attack. They loved it.
During a heated argument between the two, the aforementioned dice roll landed on the side of the breath attack. Sal grabbed the Sorcerer and let forth a raw, furious fire. We were at 7th level, and thus 3d6 brought 14 points of fire damage, killing the sorcerer, who, due to Vampires, was only at 11HP. Sal's words were, "You offered them my son, and they took him from me!" as the torrent of flame engulfed the face, head and shoulders of the Sorcerer.
The rest of the party was not happy having to waste a resurrection. Sal, however, was made even angrier, as the Sorcerer was given a second chance at life, that Rexus, his son, was denied.
Sal became very bitter towards the Sorcerer, and a longstanding (MUTUAL) conflict began.
The sorcerer had died another 2 times after that. The Sorcerer had now suffered 3 deaths, and Sal wanted to ensure that the 4th was permanent. It was.
Again, i spoke with the Sorcerer out of game, and said that Sal would want to try and kill the Sorcerer. the player understood, and due to some upcoming circumstances away from the game, further sessions weren't going to come as often. So, they agreed that it would be an impactful story beat. We called it a 'divergence' so that the Sorcerer could still exist in one reality, but was dead in this one.
I asked all but the Sorcerer and the DM to leave the table for an RP scene, and in the middle of the night, during Sal's watch, his Battle Axe, redubbed 'Rexus' split the sleeping Sorcerer from cock to collarbone.
The party never saw Sal again.
Fun times. Debatable, as to its evil nature, as it was a Father grieving the death of his Son. That grief, though, led to the death of a Sorcerer, seeking to serve the realm... for coin anyway.
After that, Sal became a force to be reckoned with in the realm, slaying monsters and those that would seek to do harm. Unfortunately, rage can blind one to reality, and many not-so-evil souls were cast under his blade. Following this arc, he was found by a Merchant Sailor/Pirate, the father of my Rogue, and in time, would go on to serve as his First Mate, and mentor to the Rogue.
RIP Rexus. Gone, but never forgotten.
Future Me, here: Just realised after wrining this, that though we never returned to the Vampire Stronghold, Rexus 'in a way' became a Vampire, feasting on the blood of Sal's enemies in the form of his Axe.

I killed Derry, the bandit. Well, a trapped door and poor decisions did... but my players will say I did it if you asked.
He surrendered after the party wiped out his bandit gang. The party took pity on him, as he only got into banditry to put food on the table. So they hired him. He offered some surface info about the bandits and helped out a couple times, but he was mostly just to hold stuff and be a pet.
Enter: The large trapped iron door. That was the idea anyway, as the dwarf went to lift the door up, it clicks... and a fireball lights up the hallway. Roll Initiative, as this thing is going to continue belching fire until its stopped. Functionally a fireball every turn. The dwarf attempts to muscle it, failing hilariously as the rest of the party yells encouraging words from safety around the corner. He keeps eating fireballs, thankfully saving for most of them as well as getting some healing words (cleric would go no where near it). It was at this time everyone realized that not one person in the party had proficiency with thieves tools (or even the tools themselves) to disarm the trap and unlock the door. XD
Then one of them has a brilliant idea...
"Hey! Derry is a rogue right? He should have some thieves tools... right?"
seeing as he was pretty useless to this point and I had been playing him as a rogue... fck it. he's got em now :D . So they call Derry forward. BTW, they fkn love this guy already... he's just a hireling but they would have died for him. So he gets in there, and he manages to unlock the door... but not disable the mechanism. Hes a low level NPC and has like 20hp max iirc, so the party is now really worried... as he's about to eat a fireball. I allow the Dwarf to try and shield him, giving Derry advantage on his save...
he didn't save... I rolled like 40-something damage. The highest damage roll yet from that trap the entire time. its like it was fate lol. The dwarf, who was technically the one who hired him, saved. So Derry caught the full blast of the fireball while the dwarf watched... the rest of the party just hears "NOOOOOOO!!!!! DEEERRRRRYY!!!!". He ripped the door open the very next turn, disabling the trap embedded in the door. They scooped up what was left of Derry and the dwarf kept some of it in his memory. What was on the other side of that door you might ask?
A floating illusionary head of the BBEG waiting to tease them. XD

Not me, but I was in a campaign where the Dragonborn Paladin murdered the women and children of an Orc village after we got them to surrender and then proceeded to kill the rest of the village except for two orcs. Captured a kobold waited until we reached their village to kill it in front of everyone by eating it's face off. He killed and ate his girlfriend's character because she didn't want to play with another female player who he had tried to have "extra fun" with from their job. He eventually left the table. Later on when I was persuading a NPC to guide us after a traumatic event I told him I've seen horrific events myself, the slaughter of women and children, cannibalism, and someone died from having their face eaten. The DM told me to roll for a bluff but I had to remind him these things happened with the Paladin. He questioned how he permitted all that to fly for a Paladin.

Vampire Artificier. Story is pretty simple. My girl was invited over as a guest to the local nobles house. She's obviously hiding her vampiric nature but, in doing so, she's been unable to drink for almost a week now; so she's utterly famished. There's been some issues going on with the maids in the local manor. Turns out that one of the maids was a lesbian and the other maids were picking on her as a result. My vampire got an idea... and I'm sure most of you can see where this is going.
She approached the maid and pretended to be friendly, kind, and even a fellow lesbian. The maid, glad to finally have someone treating her nicely, was putty in her hands. She was just so happy to finally have someone treating her like a human being she was more than willing to accompany my girl back to her guestroom. The following morning the lord noticed she hadn't shown up and launched a city-wide search for her. They never checked my girls bag of holding. I've never felt so rotten or horrified at my own actions and, after some talking, it was unanimously agreed upon by everyone present to retcon the whole session.
