Hello Lead Farmer 73, just wanted to let you and Mrs. Lady Lead know, I received my cutting a few weeks ago and I have to say I am so happy! This was my first time learning about how to grow cuttings and I am so pleased to say all of my cuttings are sprouting new growth. Thank you both for all that I am learning! I am not a content creator; just a viewer learning so much useful information... Thank you again & Continue to be Blessed!🙏🏾
For the white grubs: We use BENEFICIAL NEMATODES. They WORK! Otherwise, in NC Zone 7B, they turn into Japanese Beetles and eat the rose bushes. Also, voles are attracted to the yard to eat the grubs. But, nematodes have to be reapplied every other year. Thanks for the tip of the perlite and vermiculite mix as a rooting medium. Praying this keeps my cuttings from rotting.😊
Thank you for the lemon tree you sent me! I am just waiting for those little jewels to rippen for the picking! After I get my name is pit, I will graft a couple of pieces into my big tree! Thank you so much, again!🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😃😃😄
❤Thank you Lead for showing how to root our cuttings. You always tell us so that I can do it. My brother, Darryl, was asking about the elderberry cutting. Divine protection and prosperity.🙏
My last batch of cuttings didn’t root… I need more elderberry in particular. I have everything I used vermiculite and perlite. I do my planting outside because of the dust and particles. I did the peek a boo cup but no hole 🤦🏽♀️ sounds like why my cuttings didn’t root. I had pomegranate and elderberry.
Y’all gonna make me be there!!!!! or be square!😂 I have my tree, but all the leaves fell off before I was able to plant it outside come this summer and it was so hot. I believe it would’ve survived. I never did take it out. Maybe I can do what you did and it’ll come back alive.😂
I need a Apple cutting for apple tree!! someone said I have one in the back, but I have never seen any apples… I did have a pear tree I cut it down ,not good Pears like we had when we bought our first starter home ,we had 2 Bartlett, pear trees.
Hi, I received a cutting from my sister (who ordered from you). I have a question about the length of time it takes for the tree to begin to produce fruit? I know must bear root trees take 2-3 years at best and 8-10 years at worst. What I am looking at for using cuttings?
I have a few 2yr old trees and its nov. I live in south carolina is it to late to get cuttings from my trees?? Also after the tree roots in the cup and transplant it into 5 gallon bucket...when do I plant it in the ground?? Last year 4 of my new citrus trees died d/t unexpected cold temps. I planted them in a full sun open area. My question is ...do citrus trees do better close to house/building??
It's almost November...can I airlayer now? I know I'm late but I need to start at some point. I'm going back through your other videos to see your chili dog mixture. Oh yeah we had a tornado to knock a lot of our trees down on our land...this has opened up and allowed us to see many things on our land that we hadn't noticed before...we have a lot of acorn tree's (oak wood) but out of nowhere we have growing everywhere something called "jimsonweed"...have you heard of this? Some articles say its poisonous but others show it can have its uses when used with caution. It also says its what the teenagers are now smoking because it gets you high and its not illegal...yet.
@LeadFarmer73 - do leaves have to be present on tree cuttings? I was going to purchase pear tree cutting but it's only a green stem. So I'm not sure if it's good

When taking cuttings, can we take them anywhere along the branch or should we get as close to the trunk as possible and make the cut there?
