Did you consider playing that mirror realm underneath the phase assassin and advancing the spider? I'm curious if you saw a line that you didn't like going that route?
I did consider it. But then my spider is locked down and I can't really use it under my avatar. To get free attacks. I was also building with the idea I was going swap the lone tower and Holy ground. If I played under the phase assassin I would be giving up one power on my avatar.
I mean I see what you are getting at with the stealth but that rule only has to do with targeting the assassin which isn’t the issue here. The issue at okay is that you are targeting the mage which you can’t do because there is another minion present that can’t be targeted. There is a specific and seperate rule on the flight of projectiles that says it hits the first thing that it encounters… which would be the assassin… so you have to go with the assassin… but you can’t. So there are 2 different ways in which the rules prohibit this play but I’ll bet that the sorcery people will still let the pudge butcher be the best card in the game and do it anyways

There’s also this whole rant and logic to the game about spells and projectiles and attacks and everything coming from the minion itself, not the player. The pudge simply can’t shoot past the assassin…it isn’t a ghost. Abilities that a minion has shouldn’t be to the detriment of the defensive player in a game where they cannot act on the opposing players turn. It’s just not a credible rule judgment if that’s the ruling. When they made this judgement they should have factored in something and allowed the defensive player the option of dropping the stealth as a free action or something. This just doesn’t wash
@@Leroyantithesis Stealth vs projectiles is straight out of the rulebook entry for stealth. Keyword Ability. Minions with Stealth cannot be targeted by spells or abilities from your opponents, they cannot be attacked, intercepted, or defended against, and projectiles cannot hit them.
