+Sir Alfred XI i don't think (even though i really want him to) Porter Robinson would do a video. His music is so unique and he is still building his style, i think he will probably think people will steal his ideas and stuff. A lot of people learn from these videos.
what we see here is that you don't need to have crazy skills to make good music...it needs imagination and to experiment...that is what i call talent my friends!!! +1 for Moti!!!!
He's clearly not that type of technical or super professional producer (as he also mentioned). But in my opinion he works hard, he is trying a lot and finds his way to make his tracks and it sound right! :)
I lost my head (pardon the pun) when Tiesto played this in Amsterdam as part of AMF2015, such a good night. Banging tune as well. I find it really fascinating how these song's came together
This is pretty basic stuff the guy is talking about. Something you would probably learn within the first 5-6 months of using Logic. And he is using Logic 9 (though nothing wrong with that). What, most of us "producers" watching this would like to learn/know is how did he get his first major placement or indeed even management...especially with this skills-set. I know twice as more talented producers out there who are struggling to get their first beat/instrumental/song even heard by a DJ/A&R/publisher. So what made Tiesto play this in the clubs, even before it was released ? Now that would be a really interesting story we like to hear and the tricks to learn as "producers" !!!
MB TV Yeah thats a great point, as with everything marketing is an incredibly important skill. They're are some incredibly talented producers who are virtually unknown whereas if you look at the big guys in the scene they are ok but nothing out of this world, its all due to successful marketing so maybe you should start reading some marketing books
+Jutsin Biber the most interesting thing, that this sample pack is maden by Dropgun. They released many sample packs on Beatport sounds. Many producers uses them and don't even notice, why it sounds so similar to Dropgun.
17:00 Sure you can browse samples instantly in the mix on Logic but you can still use Battery for switching quickly between different samples in real time. That way you can hear it in the mix without having to import samples in EXS24
fantastic video!! really really helpful, Moti keeps his explanations and his advice straight forward yet is resourceful and efficient in his use of stock Logic AU's, while also making good use of a few choice, well selected third parties. Thanks to Moti for a well made video - Future Music you've done it again!
Please do a video with these guys please! 1. KSHMR 2. Madeon 3. Porter Robinson 4. Dyro 5. Avicii (an updated video) 6. ZEDD 7. Flume 8. Oliver Heldens 9. Adam Beyer 10. Deadmau5
I have discover this banger in Tiesto & Hardwell B2B at @Tommorrowland 2k14

Here's my requests for In the studio: Diplo Don Diablo EDX Felguk Another one with Nicky Romero and Steve Angello, as you made more then once with some other artists...
There is no "best" DAW. I use Ableton Live 9 myself but that's just because it has a workflow that suits me. It's not like Ableton will allow you to produce a better track than you would in any other DAW.
***** 1. Can you prove that bullshit? 2. So what if you have done 8 years of this and that, have you done 11 years of it? 3. Just because you are a mixing engineer and master tracks occasionally doesn't mean jack shit. You could be god and it wouldn't change the fact that you're wrong... like really wrong. 4. The amount of mother fucking grammar issues in that wall of text makes me even more sceptical of you being what you claim you are. As a "professional" you should be able to represent yourself a lot better than you are currently doing so.
I've met these people and talked some music but not as in depth as I would have liked, so my votes: Quintino (Devotion/etc) Firebeatz again (Disco Swindle) Yves V or Co. (Indigo, Fever) Sander Van Doorn Dada Life (Freaks Have More Fun)
Amazing video, I really enjoyed following each and every one of your step by step explanations! Simple and easy, even for the inexperienced ones like me... What a really good tip to handle many of your drum samples (@16:30) in such a way to easily find the right one that fits with the rest of the track!!! I'll try to implement that in my workflow, hoping to get better and faster results on the drum parts of my tracks. THANKS for sharing this with us all!!!
Wow this track sounds like the new one from Tiesto&Firebeatz - Sky high..I quess Tiesto saw that Lion worked at the festivals and had the idea to make something similar:) Nice track btw
Hazelcut To be fair his lead from 'Virus' was made with the Virus TI on his desk. He actually gave out the preset at one point if you purchased the track.
Hazelcut There`s really nothing wrong with that. If it`s sounds cool, that alright. You know that steve aoki "signature sound" is a standard sylenth1 preset? many people do it like that.
I'm glad he's aware of how unconventional some of his techniques are and that he can find elements that sound good in areas that would otherwise be mastering mistakes. There's definitely method in his madness.
NO ONE EVER ANSWERED ME ONE THING, WHEN I USE A LOT OF SOUNDS AT THE SAME TIME, LIKE IN A BUILD UP, FOR EXAMPLE, WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE IT SOUND CLEAR?(sometimes the snares sound diferent/worse ; some sounds are affected and a crackling noise shows up)-should i use a compressor in all the instruments?Sidechain something? I really need help- THANKS A LOT!!
Well what you might want to do is solo let's say the snare then unmute the synth and so on and while doing this try to EQ the sounds like snares and sweeps and adjust the volumes …Well that's my technique
I wonder how fucked most producers would be if the FBI came to their house and asked "Yeah we're gonna need to see the registration for those plugins"
ciel So true!
licences and registrations please
Hehe lol

MB TV just use nexus, that's the secret
MB TV This.
MB TV I don't think that'd be very interesting with these dutch guys. They're like an internal network that dominates dance music.

There is no "best" DAW. I use Ableton Live 9 myself but that's just because it has a workflow that suits me. It's not like Ableton will allow you to produce a better track than you would in any other DAW.

Pavel V. it's about his thought process not how to teach others
I'm sure Virtual Riot would be happy to do one of these. You guys should hit him up.
I would like headhunterz in the studio/The Track after he switched from hardstyle! Would really wanna know how he makes his leads
How about the basic mixing techniques? Like having the KICK on MONO and phasing and stereo imaging?

Hazelcut To be fair his lead from 'Virus' was made with the Virus TI on his desk. He actually gave out the preset at one point if you purchased the track.
+Ben Polster I don't see you doing what he is doing...
