6:30 is very interesting and it's true! Our saws are push centric which i find extremely annoying. I do switch around my hack saw metal cutting blades often.
How strange, I’m the same! Only with metals. With wood saws, and I own over ten different saws, push is absolutely fine. It may be that with pull, we gain superior control. Certainly the hacksaw blade is less inclined to jump & mar the surface of the work. Equally, it may be easier to use the full length of a hacksaw blade using pull. With push, I find the start of the cut hits the same spot on the blade and it soon loses its keenness.
Wilson s went on to make Gordon's spanners interesting. I used a good Gordon's socket set at my last job. It's sad to see the decline in our tool making industry.
