Raag Malhar:
Though Charanjeet Singh Chanderpal over here plays, Raag Miyaa(n) Ki Malhaar on Sitar and it is the which symbolises the one sung by Miyaa(n) Taansen, the original Raaga is Malhar or Malaar. Sree Guru Amardas Maharaj ji on Ang 1283 of Sree Guru Granth Saahib praises Raag Malaar and its ability to invoke the contemplation of God, along with its ability to bring rains.
Malhar is a Hindustani classical raga that is associated with torrential rains and is usually sung during the rainy season. The word "Malhaar" is associated with heavy rains. The Malhar ragas are part of a family of ragas that share a common base. "Malhaar" Or "Malaar" is from Thaat Kaafi, essentially though variations like Miyaan Malhar or Megh Malhaar could make one feel that it is from a different Thaat.
