There is nothing wrong with the game. Play on normal or hard difficulty and they would hear your voice. The maximum distance from which enemy can see or hear is determined by the difficulty. It does other things like how fast and how far cameras detect you, how much ammo you get from enemies, how accurate your enemies fire and the damage gunshots and explosions do to you.

Nope.. This is easy difficult and machine gun outside door will kill you if you pass by.. He was way more noisy.. I dnt think this round can be done away with knife only..
