YG's aluminum cones have 2 problems. 1. Weak internal damping resulting in a lot of internal resonance. Finger tap it and you hear that plasticky sound. 2. Structurally weak. Aluminum is a very soft metal. Like what has been mentioned here, even stepping on it can ruin it. Magico and Borresen's cone materials can not only be stepped on, you can drive a car over it. If YG is serious about stiffness to weight ratio, they should consider cvd coating a layer of diamond or ceramic based materials over the aluminum.
