35:24 Red randomly picks up one of White's tokens he put in the space 1 right of Hunter (to trade ship). Best I can tell, Red says he's doing that by using Yellow's (Mahact) agent in return for giving Yellow speaker Pretty sure that agent only works on the active players token's. Red can't use it to try to start a fight between White and Hunter (or w/e reason he had for trying to unlock someone ELSE'S lockdown)
I guess what happened is he waited for White to be the active player. It was non binding at that point tho. Yellow didn't have to spend his agent anymore, especially since doing someone else's system wasn't part of the original deal
@@BukovTervicz He is "using" Yellows agent by using his Yssaril agent to copy the ability of Yellow's agent. I didn't see where he had tried to strike a deal, but I don't actually believe that's what he was attempting to do. He was wanting to do Construction for free by removing White's token.
@@SpaceCatsPeaceTurtlesPodcast Oh, that makes so much more sense. Ty for explaining! He's copying the agent like you said, and it HAS to unlock a system from the player he's Secondary'ing with. When Mahact did it on Yssaril's turn, Mahact let him choose the spot in exchange for speaker. Now Yssaril's using the same ability but White didn't have anything he wanted so he just picked the system least useful to White 33:40 was the Yssaril-Mahact deal that confused me from the previous turn. Assumingly he did that and I missed it, then got confused when (I thought, mistakenly) he finally decided, but choose someone elses piece :)
Can I ask where Muaat's carrier came from? 22.58, he gets a carrier, but I don't see a commmand token or any explanation to where it came from? Just curious. Interesting game.
Not sure about that NRA home system construction... I agree with you, Hunter, that Matt maybe should've put a dock on Primor, or at least on another planet outside his home system, so when he produces there he also gets to explore.
Matt here. Definitely good reasons to put it on Primor. The round itself sort of resulted in me not wanting to delay construction any longer, and honestly I felt I was going to get bottlenecked in production and would have problems getting enough infantry in my homesystem. I had been planning on my third dock going on Primor, but then other priorities took over. I do love the idea of getting lots of exploration done while also building on my front line
@@SpaceCatsPeaceTurtlesPodcast hm, I do understand the part about changing priorities, but could you explain to me what difference there is _to you_ as the Construction player in playing it before or after taking Primor, other than not being able to build that dock there if you play construction first? Did you do it to prevent other players from getting too many forward docks? And if so, is that a worthwhile trade for you?
@@BloodyFox1 It's that latter point. An early construction can prevent others from getting a forward dock. if anything, I could have done it first action if I had known I was going to put it at home. But getting the PDS on Meer was also worth it. So to me, it was worth it. Throughout that game, I was glad to have the second dock at home as it allowed me to ensure my home systems were better defended. Ideally, it staved off some mid-game attacks, especially once I got ahold of *spoiler* the Shard of the Throne.
@@SpaceCatsPeaceTurtlesPodcast Yeah, I see, I trust your intuition on that, also from reading the table, as these seem to be people you know quite well. And that Hunter guy especially seems to be a Scoundrel! Could only "judge" that play from watching the first episode so far, so I'll have to see how it works out over the course of the game.
@@BloodyFox1 Yeah, I won't spoil anything for you. But I also won't say it was some spark of strategic brilliance. There are pros and cons, to be sure.
Yes, he got to ready it, when he drew an "Expedition" from exploring Hope's End: "If you have at least 1 mech on this planet or if you remove 1 infantry from this planet, ready this planet", it's at @31:36
Great timing!
round 1 you should have taken a TG when you followed warfare and tech ?
nope because muat has not unlocked commander yet :P
ooooooo! The new expansion! ))))

Where can I get the spinning space dock object?

Muaat's agent produces up to two ships in a system you own with a war sun or flagship. Ships must cost 4 or less each
@@stustu242 I saw that afterwards. Thanks for the answer. Makes Muaat more interesting. :)

In the turn you played Trade, you did two separate transactions with Matt, which is illegal. Just sayin' ;)
I'm not seeing it. There's one trade with Muaat and one trade with Matt
@@SpaceCatsPeaceTurtlesPodcast You also gave 1 of the 2 commodities received from Matt back at the start of that turn.
Ah, I see now. Yeah, illegal. Throw this one out folks
